The Rycote Overcovers Advanced are larger in size than the original Rycote Overcovers. The Advanced Overcovers measure 1" (26mm) in diameter and the fur appears to be more dense than the fur on the original Overcovers.

Do you place the sticky part directly on your lav? I did so and it starts to rip off the coloring on my tascam dr10L mic.
Yes the stickie part goes directly on the lavalier, I've used them on multiple lavs in the past and never ran into this issue. However in your case try using the microphone with the clip to avoid further problems.

Hey Joshua, I often reuse the same cover on the same actors/subjects. They do eventually get frazzled and kinda gross cause there is no way to wash them, but you can easily get a few uses or more out of them before tossing them.

Are these overcovers the same as Rycote's micro windjammers? The only difference I can see is the adhesive doesn't have hole.
Hi: thanks for your question. The Micro Windjammers are much smaller, and calibrated specifically for use on cameras in terms of fur length and overall size.
