Will the Ares II Flash Trigger Transmitter work ...

Will the Ares II Flash Trigger Transmitter work with a Phottix Atlas II receiver? 1 of my 2 units went south on me.
Asked by: Sam
I contacted Phottix concerning your inquiry. According to Phottix, no, the Phottix Atlas II receiver is not compatible for use with the Phottix Ares II transmitter. The Phottix Atlas II and Phottix Ares II have different frequencies and are not compatible with one another. The Phottix Ares II would be compatible with the Odin II, Strato II, and Odin Lite line of remote triggers and they recommend upgrading to the newer Ares II flash triggers.

Will this trigger an Odin receiver for canon? Just fire the flash, not control power or use TTL.

Update Sept, 2023: I contacted [email protected]. Their answer was "yes". Here's the exact question: "Will the Ares II work with the Mitros Flash and/or the Odin receivers?" Here is their answer "Yes it will trigger a Mitros + flash and Odin receivers." They also said it will work with almost any camera body including Leica SL-2. Not sure if TTL would work though - needs testing.

Will this connect with yongnuo yn-560 vl?
Asked by: Charlie
It does not use the same frequencies. You would need a receiver to use it with a YN560.
