Ideal for image-makers who value space-saving and light weight, the Collapsible Softbox for 12x12" LED Lights from Angler removes the harshness of raw LED light, maximizes output via its reflective silver interior, and renders a soft, flattering quality to its output. No speed ring is required for mounting. Instead, touch-fasteners are employed to attach the softbox to the light panel. Supported by magnetic rods that snap together, the softbox sets up in seconds and collapses to a size small enough to fit in the included 9" bag.
- Touch-Fastener Mounting, No Speed Ring

What happened here?
The soft box does its job when it's on the light, but what were they thinking when they designed the mounting options? The velcro options are so poorly conceived, it kind of boggles the mind. The only reason I didn't give it one star is because I was able to easily customize the mounting system by adding my own velcro panels. Once in place, the box does its job, even though all of its loose velcro straps and flaps look super messy (i.e. not very professional) once installed. Anyway, if you decide to buy this, and you find it doesn't fit your light properly (which I'm guessing is very common since it doesn't fit any of my 1' LED panels properly (three different brands)... do yourself a favor... Buy some Velcro strips that have industrial strength adhesive backing. All I needed was two 2 squares of the soft side (loop) of velcro. I adhered these on the large flap at the bottom of the fixture... this way the long elastic straps that come down and wrap around the back of the light, actually have something (for the hook side of the velcro on the end of those straps) can connect to. In addition, around the face of the soft box is another border of Velcro that is used to install the grid. That border is poorly manufactured (or conceived) and it falls onto the face of the soft panel... basically, it does not look anywhere near as smooth as the photo shows... that 1 wide border lays erratically on the face of the soft panel, effectively reducing the size of the front face of the panel and again, not looking very professional at all.
Great fit and effect on lighting
Great product! I had this AHA moment of adding a softbox to an already diffused LED light (Godox). This is when I realized what was lacking to make my video conferencing stand out (I am a therapist, and part of my work involves teletherapy). I may be wrong, but this is the only softbox for rectangular LED lights. It is straightforward to install and use.
