  • 1Description

Enjoy high-quality audio on the go with the DP-S1 16GB Digital Audio Player from Onkyo. This player features a pair of SABRE ES9018C2M DACs and ES9601K amplifiers, arranged in a symmetrical layout and served by separate capacitors. A gold-plated, three-pole 3.5mm headphone jack is located alongside a gold-plated, four-pole 2.5mm jack for balanced audio output.

The DP-S1 comes with 16GB of built-in storage and has two microSD card slots, enabling a total storage capacity of up to 528 GB. It can be controlled via your mobile device over Bluetooth or by using its own 2.4", 240 x 320 touchscreen display. The player features up to 15 hours of battery life and recharges via the included micro-USB cable. A screen protector is included as well.

Wireless Connectivity
5 GHz and 2.4 GHz 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi let you stream music from Tidal and TuneIn, while Bluetooth lets you connect to car stereos and more.
MQA Support
The DP-S1 supports the MQA format, which has a higher bitrate and sampling rate than other Hi-Res Audio formats. A firmware update may be required; please see Onkyo's website for more information.
Dual Precision Clocking Mechanisms
Independent clocks for native 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz signals help reduce jitter and enable hi-bit upsampling.
BTL (bridge-tied load) increases driving power, while ACG (active control ground) provides enhanced stability.
10-Band Equalizer
The 10-band equalizer lets you select from six presets or create three custom settings. Three filters (short, sharp, and slow) let you refine your sound further.
Onkyo DapController
The Onkyo DapController app connects your mobile device to your DP-S1 over Bluetooth LE, giving you the ability to play/pause, scan, skip, shuffle, repeat, connect to Wi-Fi, create playlists, and control the volume.

    Onkyo DPS1 reviews

DP-S1 16GB Digital Audio Player is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Sound - awful Interface - WORST touch screen! The sound is excellent for its price. But in order to get any device to do what you want you have to work the interface. The touch screen is the SINGLE WORST I've used in ANY device. Examples: when I tried to type a playlist the 'pqrs' keys do not work at all and in many cases the touchscreen does not respond at all or in the attached photo click "No" when you mean to say "Yes" (usually no means no...) .The software that goes with this , X-DAP Link is not user friendly either. I still have no figured out how to import playlists, the instructions are confusing. Battery life is average - I guess. The device feels fragile. I have not dropped it yet....so. 16GB space? well not much but at least the additional memory card works seemlessly so far. Good. Its really too bad, the sound is excellent but the interface is SO bad. How can ONKYO get this so wrong?!? Say what you want about the iPod Classic - Apple designed the interface in 200Xthat worked perfectly (to me)
