Kinesis C850 Overview

Comfortably carry your pro DSLR with a 70-200/2.8, 80-400, or other long lens attached with the black C850 Extra Large Holster Case from Kinesis. The holster also accommodates your lens hood in the ready-position, and a select flash or prime lens that fits in the front, exterior zip pocket. Large zipper pulls make accessing gear fast and easy. Under the lid is a zip pocket for small items such as memory cards, lens cloths, and caps. Two, Siamese SlikClip Buckles are included for attaching old-style Kinesis TwinBuckle Pouches.

The top strap can be used as a convenient carry handle or to attach accessories. For versatility, this case has D-rings for using an optional strap, belt, or harness. Nylon and closed cell foam construction provide strength, durability, and shock protection. The case is lightweight at 14.0 ounces, and is made in the USA.

Nikon users will be happy to learn that the case fits a Nikon with a 200-500mm f/5.6 lens (reversed lens hood).
Holds a full-sized DSLR body (including Nikon D5-series or Canon 1D-series bodies) and a 70-200/2.8 or 80-400/4-5.6 lens with the hood in the shooting position. Will also hold a Nikon 200-500mm/5.6 or Sigma 120-300/2.8 with hood reversed.
When used on a waist belt, the optional Y302 strap kit is recommended to prevent the top of the case from pulling away from the belt.
The outside front pocket will hold a select shoe-mount flash unit or select prime lenses like a 50/1.4 with the hood attached and reversed (it is unpadded so one should exercise caution).
Features an "under the lid" pocket for lens tissue, CF or SD cards.
One pair of Siamese SlikClip buckles included for attaching old style Kinesis TwinBuckle pouches to one side of the case.

Kinesis C850 Reviews

The one I've been looking for.

I've been looking for an easy carry, non-backpack bag that's is more cylinder or rectangle in shape with a large opening to easily slide my DSLRs in and out when specifically connected to my 200-500 Nikon lens. So glad I stumbled across the c850. It was made for this! It's the perfect size, has great quality and is well padded. I own other bags for travel. I would not use it for travel is it needed to be booked. This is for tossing my rig on the front seat and doing casual drives down back roads and through areas where I may see wildlife. It's perfect for that need.

Perfect for my needs

I was looking for a holster case that would hole my 1DX with 200mm f/2 attached, ideally with the hood in place. This is a very conspicuous combination and it would be nice to have something to carry it in to hide it, but be able to get it out quickly ready to do. This case isn't fancy, doesn't have the most or best padding in the world, but it does fit this body and lens combination and there is nothing else I could find that works for this purpose.

This unit is great for my D500 with the 200-500 zoom attached and has several very useful compartments. The unit also works well with the D500 with a 18-80 lens and the divider where a 300 mm lens is placed for use. Very versatile.

Awesome bag for the big lens.

I have been looking a long time for a bag for a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 with a body attached. This bag is a perfect fit. It also has a front pouch big enough for a Teleconverter and other small accessories. And the bag only weighs 14 ounces, so it doesn't add a lot to the weight of a very heavy lens while in transport and it still provides ample padding.

A big enough case”

Was tired of cases and holsters that were just not quite big enough. This one holds the big D500 with battery grip attached to a Sigma 60-600 lens with its foot. Nice and sturdy and Made in the USA. Only negative is it didn’t come with shoulder strap, but I had others around. Buy it!

Horrible quality

I don't normally write reviews but this time I can't hold out. The product is of very poor quality for the value it has. The material is very thin and soft, which makes the camera unprotected, inside there is no additional protection and it looks like a cheap bag. Pure waste of money!

I can fit my Canon 1DX3 with the 100-400 mm lens and a 1.4 teleconvetrter with the lens hood in shooting position and with aneck strap on the camer into thias holster with ease. When coupled with the kinesis pouch belt, it is a ral winner.

The case arrived. I have a 1DX Mark III with an L-bracket and the 200mm f/2 with the hood in place just fits. Needs a bit of encouragement when reloading, but that is mostly due to the L-bracket, not the lens.

The max interior of this bag can hold 16 inches in height and the camera with that lens is about 14.75 inches so you would have a little extra room.
