The B1X batteries are fantastic. If I am shooting at a somewhat lower power lever (6-8) these things can go all day.

Expensive and average

These are cripplingly expensive. The technology inside is found in other batteries at a fifth of the price. It's hard to justify sticking with Profoto considering the need to replace these on all four of my B1's every few years. I find the recycling time on my older B1 batteries slow making it hard to shoot with them in real world shoot scenarios where you need to shoot fast with consistency.

question

Has anyone had any luck using solar chargers with these batteries afield, and if so, which one(s)? Thnx.
Asked by: kazey b.
This Profoto battery has a capacity of 44.4 Wh and a charging voltage of 16.8A, so a device such as the GOAL ZERO Yeti 400 Solar Generator Power Pack B&H # GOGZ23000 which has a 396Wh battery attached to the GOAL ZERO Boulder 100 Briefcase Solar Panel B&H # GOGZ32408 can allow the Profoto battery to charge sufficiently.
