This kit is ideal for photographing objects and documents up to 16 x 20" in a repeatable and controlled manner.

Smith-Victor 42" Pro-Duty Copy Stand

Designed for re-photographing and copying prints, documents, flat art, and other objects, the 42" Pro-Duty Copy Stand from Smith-Victor features a matte 18% neutral gray 23.5 x 23.5" baseboard that is ideal for photographing items up to 16 x 20" in size. The baseboard also has a printed grid to aid in accurately and consistently aligning objects in the same place. The 42"-tall extruded anodized aluminum alloy column has been designed to limit vibrations and it features scaled index marks for consistency in height placement. The carriage to hold the camera system has a 1/4"-20 tripod mount, is rated to hold camera and lens combinations up to 8 lb, and it incorporates a quick-slide, self-locking lever mechanism to alleviate the need for additional cranks or tightening knobs to securely adjust the shooting height.

A convenient lighting kit for copy stand work, the LED Copy Light Set with Adjustable Arms from Smith-Victor includes two compact, flat panel LEDs and two adjustable arms for a flexible solution to evenly light a variety of subjects. The arms are designed to mount directly to the copy stand and attach to baseboards up to 1.4" thick. Their flexible design permits easy positioning to suit subjects of different sizes and dimensions. The included lights have a CRI of 97 to maintain accurate color rendition, and as LEDs they consume less power than incandescent sources while also remaining cool to the touch for comfortable handling.

A 5DS will work with a macro lens . A copy stand is not designed to be used with a "point and shoot"

The lights on the Smith-Victor 42" Pro-Duty Copy Stand Kit just clip on. So, those are easy to take off and break down. The Copy stand column can be take off but is not really made to do that all the time. And is best to leave that on the base board.
