It features individual pairs that are bonded together to maintain a twisted-pair design right up to the termination point. This design and the RJ45 plugs help minimize Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) levels. Furthermore, it has snagless hoods and reduces both impedance and structural return loss (SRL).

Can this cable be used outdoor?

The C2G CAT6 Snagless Patch Cable is not weatherproof. It's shielding refers to the braided wire and foil that shield it from stray electrical signals. It is not shielded from the elements. I've seen similar cable last 2 years in an outside run in San Diego but it is not designed for it (in this case the RJ45 connectors were never exposed). Best to buy a spool of shielded cable and run it through some conduit but attaching the RJ45 connectors is difficult so they typically run it to a patch panel.

The product states that it is STP but the description says "UTP for greater flexibility". Is this cable shielded or unshielded?
