The Sigma LCF-185E Soft Cover Lens Cap for 500mm f/4 DG OS HSM Sports Lens is designed for use with the newer Sigma 500mm f/4 DG OS HSM Sports Lens, which measurements are 5.70 x 14.97 (144.8mm x 380.3mm) in size. The older Sigma 500mm f/4.5 EX DG APO HSM Lens is a smaller lens whose measurements are 4.84 x 13.78 (123mm x 350mm) in size. The lens cap is too large for use with the older Sigma 500mm f/4.5 lens. Unfortunately, I do not see a lens cap option from Sigma for the Sigma 500mm f/4.5 EX DG APO HSM Lens.
