The Formatt Hitech 67mm Firecrest Neutral Density 6.6 Solar Eclipse Filter produces images with a neutral color tone and no color-cast or loss of sharpness. Its 22-stop exposure reduction, built-in infrared cut, and 6.6 density blocks radiation outside the visual spectrum that imaging sensors are able to detect, which can cause interference with capturing clear images, and creates a darkening of the entire image that makes it effective for solar and solar eclipse photography. With this filter, users can capture photographs with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. This is strictly a photographic filter and is not suitable for direct solar viewing with the naked eye.
