I’m reading that the X-Pro1 and X-Pro2 take the short stem, unlike the rest of the X series. Is this also true of the X-Pro3?
Not sure. I used mine on the XT-2 until it fell off and got lost. Great while it stayed on Buy more than 1 because they do fall off.

What is the difference between a long stem and a short stem? What size do you usually use?
The button's long stem is compatible with Fujifilm's X-series cameras, traditional cameras, and Leica's M10 and older cameras. The long stem clears the collar that surrounds the shutter button on the camera body. The short stem is compatible only with Leica's M Typ 240, M-E, and Monochrom cameras as well as the Fuji X-Pro2 and fits in the shutter collar.
