Living in an old stone house, Wifi has always been a problem. While the looks of eero is better than any mother mesh system, we still don’t have consistent Wifi. Hiring a pro eero installer to see if he can hard wire a couple areas thus making the eero reach all the areas where 2 kids do school from home and 2 parents work from home.

Very easy to set up. Great performance.

Installed this in my Mom's 3900 foot 1950s suburban split level. Cable modem is on top floor, and put 1 beacon on the main floor, and one on the lower. Excellent coverage everywhere.

B and H shipped fast Eero system easy to install easy to use. upgraded the system in my home of 2600 sq/ft good signal is available everywhere now better price from B and H than Amazon

Works very well. The whole house with two floors is covered for the first time! The Eero app on my tablet is useful, helpful and user friendly to understand and monitor the network. B&H Customer Service deserves a 5 star rating for there help in providing me choices that fit the criteria I was looking to achieve. Very helpful and much appreciated. Thanks.

I have Comcast as my provider. I rent their modem that has a router built in. Can this product replace that whole modem or just the router component?

You use this in conjunction with the existing equipment. Usually the modem and router these days are integrated, then you just plug in an ethernet cable from your router to the Eero base unit. Then pair the other included nodes to distribute the signal around your intended area. So it does not replace the other components.

If I'm reading the specs correctly, it looks like it only has two ethernet ports. Presumably one is in input from the modem, which leaves only one for something else. 1) Is this correct? 2) Does this mean I would need to add a switch if I want more wired devices connected?

Yes, that would be correct. Just be sure to configure your switch properly for the corresponding devices connected to it.

Is the unit an eero Pro + eero Beacon? It doesn't explicitly mention that it's a Pro, even though the image (and price) looks like a Pro.

Yes it's the Eero Pro just 2nd Generation and an Eero Beacon the package doesn't tell you "Pro 2 Generation.

I upgraded Uverse to 100 mbs, but my wifi speeds are worse, now, even near the router. Can I expect a speed increase with eero?

I bought my EERO assembly without asking 1 BASIC question from my Wi-Fi Provider. EERO says it automatically will switch to whatever Ghz. signal your provider is using. My Wi-Fi is 2.4 Ghz. and the EERO does NOT stay at this signal. I have found that I have to unplug and plug in the Beacons to set it to 2.4 thus it does NOT work as advertised. Check with your provider on which Signal they are using. I personally am very disappointed with a very expensive router system that does NOT work as advertised.
