The plate mounts on top of a separately available sturdy light stand and one end features a U-shaped dock for the stabilizer sled, and on the other end is a hook for hanging the arm when it's not in use, and a mounting pin on top to balance the arm before mounting it on the vest.

It does what it says, but I do not trust the stand and this plate. I feel like it could fall over if anyone bumps it or the stand is not heavy enough so you have to be careful.
