Enjoy enhanced dialogue clarity with the Yamaha YAS-207 200W 2.1-Channel Soundbar System. It is equipped with four 1.75" woofers and two 1" tweeters, and includes an external wireless subwoofer for added bass impact. The soundbar and subwoofer each output up to 100W of audio power for an augmented listening experience. Built-in Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity allows you to wirelessly stream music from other Bluetooth-enabled devices such as smartphones or tablets.

The YAS-207 features HDMI and optical inputs for interfacing high-quality audio sources, and an optical cable is included for instant connectivity. An 1/8" input is also onboard, which allows you to interface legacy audio sources. You can control the unit with the included remote control or with the Home Theater Controller app for your iOS or Android device.

Designed for Clear Dialogue and Details
With six speaker drivers and an acoustically engineered cabinet, the YAS-207 is designed to deliver dynamic, clear sound that lets you hear all of the details you've been missing. It also features a special Clear Voice mode that brings dialogue and narration to the forefront, making voices more intelligible.
Ready to Rumble When You Are
When it's time for movie night or for pumping music, the YAS-207 is ready. Its subwoofer is designed to deliver deep, impactful bass that you can feel. And it's wireless, so you can place it anywhere in the room. The included remote control lets you adjust the subwoofer level for added control.
Tabletop, Shelf Top, or Wall Mount
At only 2.4" high, the YAS-207 soundbar fits in front of most displays without obstructing the screen image, or it can be placed on a lower shelf of a TV stand. It also has built-in keyholes and a removable power cord, and includes a mounting template, simplifying the wall mounting process.
Designed for Easy Connectivity
For nearly instant setup, the YAS-207 comes with an optical cable that allows for a single-cable connection to the output of a display. For enhanced performance, the soundbar has an HDMI input and output that can be used with your HDMI cables. It supports 4K Ultra HD (60p) and HDR pass-through, and HDCP 2.2, ensuring compatibility with many displays and sources.
Three Control Options
The YAS-207 comes with a dedicated remote control, or it can be controlled with the free Home Theater Controller app for Apple iOS and Android devices, which works over Bluetooth and provides access to settings beyond what is available from the included remote control. If your display is compatible with HDMI-CEC and you use HDMI cables to connect it, you can turn the power on and off, switch inputs, adjust the volume, and perform other operations by using your display's remote.
Bluetooth Streaming
Stream your favorite music from your mobile devices via Bluetooth with enhanced sound quality. The YAS-207 is designed to automatically enhance the high-end of compressed music sources and deepen the mid- to low-ranges, giving you a sound quality approaching the original.
DTS Virtual:X, Available with a Future Firmware Update
With DTS Virtual:X, the YAS-207 can virtually create 3D surround sound, simulating sound effects that move around and above the listener. While DTS Virtual:X produces envelopment from content designed in object-based immersive formats, such as DTS:X or Dolby Atmos, it also works on multichannel or stereo content, upmixing non-immersive soundtracks to create more lifelike, spacious sound for all of your favorite TV shows, movies, games, and music. DTS Virtual:X is scheduled to be made available after a future firmware update.

    YAS-207 200W 2.1-Channel Soundbar System is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dialog performance not the best In general I would say this soundbar has great sound for things like music and sound effect heavy movies and shows, but where it falls short is with dialog. Unfortunately I think there is a problem with the crossover between the soundbar itself and the included subwoofer, because low-end sounds of dialog/speech will often cut in and out of being output from the sub. This results in an inconsistent output where dialog will go between sounding deeper to sounding thinner. This is particularly problematic if you watch news programs or documentaries. It unfortunately happened too often for me to be okay with it, so I think it'll have to go back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good sound bar for it price This is the latest sound bar which was released just a month back, very few retailers actually have this right now. This is pretty standard looking, with cloth cover and pretty heavy. Subwoofer is very easily the biggest in it's class. Setup was very very easy and I am using it with HDMI arc channel so anything seen on TV gets it sounds via this. The sound quality is amazing from this thing, and it's hard to believe what a 2.1 channel system is capable of. The subwoofer rumble is truly amazing and it can very easily create floor shattering vibration or just the right amount of heaviness at very lowest setting. The clear voice doesn't make much difference but both the bass extension and surround sound options do. The quality of the sound is same if you use Bluetooth as well, can't wait to get the firmware update to get the 3d surround effect. This is truly a Yamaha product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the money. I am happy with the purchase. However I am a bit underwhelmed by the sound level and bass. This is slightly unfair due to me having a full 7.1 system...This was purchased as a quick fix until our full system is hooked up in our new location. Is it near the quality of a major system, no, did I expect it to be, no. But I honestly expected a bit more, however, this is my first and only sound bar...so those expectations were just made up... The price is great and if you are living with a new tv with standard sound this is an awesome upgrade. The ability to use it as a bluetooth speaker for your handheld devices is great too and another reason why we purchased. There are 5 wires that come out of this thing in 2 different locations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lightning before the Thunder Be warned -- there is a major design flaw in this model that was not mentioned by professional reviewers! The subwoofer will activate and play back anything ONLY if the audio uses frequencies that are sufficiently "low" to bother passing them to the subwoofer. There is a technical term used for this feature: "bass crossover". The problem is that, unlike more expensive sound systems, this sound bar does not let you modify this setting. And the setting set up at the factory by the engineers is WRONG! Basically, the bass crossover frequency falls right smack in the middle of the frequencies used by dialogue voices. That means people with lower-pitched voices will have their voice enhanced by the warmth of the subwoofer's bass, while people with higher-pitches voices will have 100% of their audio coming only out of the small built-in speakers in the bar itself, with no bass at all, which makes it sound much more quiet and "far away". In many, many cases, a single person's voice will dip low and high depending on what word or syllable they're pronouncing, which means that the subwoofer will constantly turn on and off mid-sentence for these people. You do not need to be an audiophile to hear this -- it is extremely obvious and jarring, because completely bassless sound coming from the speakers of this unit sound tiny and distant, and also because the transition between bass-less audio and bass-enhanced audio on this product is not handled smoothly. This sound bar absolutely need the subwoofer to enhance the audio quality, because when that happens, it sounds absolutely marvelous. With the subwoofer working, this sound bar has one of the best sound qualities I've yet heard from a unit in this price range. But it just plain doesn't work all the time! You will hear this extremely frequently if you watch dialogue-heavy television, such as talk shows, etc. The constant cutting on/off of the subwoofer mid-word and mid-sentence is going to drive you insane, and there is absolutely NO way to fix it with any settings on the unit. Say you're watching a late-night talk show, and the host or the celebrity guests have very different voices. One will come in crystal clear with enhanced bass, and the other will be playing back out of the tiny speakers inside the bar, and sound much more quiet, and much more distant -- almost like they're in a different room. I suspect the reason professional reviewers didn't notice this in their glowing reviews of this product is because they listened exclusively to loud and bombastic movies and music, which have constant low-frequencies (i.e. explosions, bass drums, Hans Zimmer-style rumbling soundtracks, etc) which successfully "crossover" to the subwoofer and create a wide and high-quality sound stage. If only they'd switch to regular television, or just merely watched a dialogue-heavy movie, they'd immediately spot this problem! If that wasn't enough, one other thing that I found incredibly disappointing: although the plain "surround" sound (when the bass is working, of course!) works really great, the DTS Virtual:X Surround sound is really atrociously bad. Although it does a great job of enhancing background sound effects that would otherwise remain muddy and barely audible, the overall sound itself changes *drastically* when this feature is turned on, and not for the better. The whole audio -- although more "detailed" -- sounds like it's being played inside a metal can. It just has this extremely synthetic, metallic texture to it that is really off-putting. Most reviewers already mentioned that the standard "surround" mode is better than "DTS Virtual:X" mode, but I was not prepared by just how much worse this mode sounds. Considering that this is *the* major selling point of this sound bar, that's just completely disappointing!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gremlins in my unit The unit is compact, easy to place and hook up. Sound is decent for the price. Clarity is not there but it's decently powerful. Was pretty happy with the purchase until... It started shutting itself down and not responding to remote or on bar control. I have to unplug and plug it back in to get it to react again. Just enough problems to annoy you but not enough to call support and get a replacement unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sounding Yamaha YAS-207 With today’s new super thin TVs the factory speakers that are installed in them are not good sounding to my ears. After Doing some research, I purchased the Yamaha YAS-207 which made it sound unbelievably for the money with geat bass, clear voice and just overall great sound. I find myself even listening to music stations on cable to listen to my speakers. Anthony J. Ferraro Sr. Greenwich CT
