The ASUS ThunderboltEX II Expansion Card provides your desktop computer with a Thunderbolt 2 port that transfers data at a rate of up to 20 Gb/s. The expansion card occupies a PCIe 2.0 x4 slot and requires a Thunderbolt header from your motherboard. The Thunderbolt 2 port offers daisy-chaining with up to six Thunderbolt 2 devices, such as external storage drives, monitors, and more. Utilizing its DisplayPort 1.2 support and your system's DisplayPort output port, the ThunderboltEX II delivers resolutions of up to 4096 x 2160 to external monitors. Additionally, you can attach up to three 1080p displays. Included along with the ThunderboltEX II expansion card are DisplayPort and mini DisplayPort cables, allowing you to connect it to your onboard or dedicated graphics system.
