Smith-Victor CooLED 50 Reviews
Perfect light for art photography
By Don
Rated 5 out of 5

I purchased the lights to photograph paintings and framed art. I attached large, framed polarizing filters to the barn doors with velcro (making sure to align the axis of each filter) and use a circular polarizing filter on the camera. Works beautifully to eliminate the glare on oil paintings and frames and art with glass. I'm sure they would work great for video as well.

question
How loud do the fans run on these lights? Looking to use it for studio video.
I use them for in studio video and if your mics are not right next to the back of the lights I doubt youll have an issue. They are really quite. They blend right into the ambient sounds of my workspace and do not impact my videos.
