Will it fit a SurfaceBook 2 13.5?
I have this bag and the SurfaceBook 13. It is a very tight squeeze. It does technically fit but it puts a lot of stress on the zipper... I wouldn't recommend it if your primary purpose is for laptop use. I was tempted to return the bag but decided to keep it and use it just for cameras... I have another bag to use if I want to bring my laptop.

Is the waist strap required for stability? I really don't want to use it, but will pass on the bag if it slides around too my FB without it.
One does not need to use the waist strap on the MindShift Gear PhotoCross 13 Sling Bag (Orange Ember). But it is good to use it if you are constantly swinging the bag to get something out of it a lot.

If you have a camera with lens in the middle and a lens on either side will removing the camera make the bag collapse or fold in half. Is it rigid enough to hold shape when you starting remove your gear?
Removing gear even from the middle section of the MindShift Gear PhotoCross 13 Sling Bag (either color) will not cause the bag to collapse or fold in half.
