SKAARHOJ XC5 Module

The SKAARHOJ XC5 Module is a programmable control surface for use with broadcast video hardware, providing tactile control over essential functions. As this is a "Module" unit, DB-9 ports can be found on either side. The right side connects to a Master unit or other XC units in the chain, while the left side can connect to further XC units to expand the control surface. A short DB-9 cable can be used to separate an XC unit chain for a second operator. Using the SKAARHOJ-developed open-source UniSketch OS, the end-user can program the 8 RGB buttons and 4 rotary encoders on the XC5 to control a variety of devices, from switchers and recorders to PTZ cameras and playback decks. All of the RGB soft buttons and rotary encoders feature OLED scribble strips to display function information.
