Overall good experience. Love the fast recycling time at high power. I brought 2 of them. One of the handles had broke in about a month of when I first got it. Now 7 months in and one the lights stopped flashing, I Changed the bulb but it's still not working.

    Great key light

Pros: Quality strobe for a key light, lots of power, and easy to integrate with other godox lights and wireless trigger. Cons: A bit pricey for cheaper build quality. It comes with a tungsten modeling lamp bulb, which is fine because you can easily order a daylight modeling bulb, but it seems an odd color choice for a modeling lamp. Also, if you boom this light out and manipulate the position for a few shoots the modeling bulb comes loose. I thought there was an electrical short with the light because the modeling lamp kept intermittingly going in and out, but turns out the bulb just doesn't stay tightened after multiple uses on a boom arm. Overall it's a good value for a professional studio strobe when you compare it to the overpriced Profoto strobes.

Sure, there are bigger names with bigger price tags. Godox delivers a great flash at a great price point. I own four now and am really pleased with them.

    Fast and great Light

I got two of these lights for home studio use as I had two AD400 Pro's and the X-pro trigger system and wanted a bit more power. They all work together perfectly using the x-pro trigger. Chose the QT over QS for the fast speeds and build and 600 for more power of the 400 in a small 30 foot deep home studio. Easy to use and program and no regrets for such a value pro studio light. Recycles so fast and yet to use it over 1/8 of its power. Fills a 48 soft-box and Godox P120L so nicely that I may get portable power to use outside with these. Better mount than AD400 Pro. Color seems to be very consistent (using color stable mode), after 400 portrait photos with a few subjects, with setting the camera white balance to 5600.

The light itself is great... normal Godox quality... BUT the the handle is crap... once you put a modifier on it... it just slides down constantly I thought that they would lock in like the AD 600's but so my shock, it does not. I have to purchase an off brand stand locking mechanism to make this light what it is now. If not I would have returned this light as I bought two QT600's and two QT 12oo's. Not happy at all... hopefully in the future Godox will FIX this... come on guys! You make an excellent light so put the time in to make the stand mount and swivel mechanism better!

    Great value

I was recently tasked with updating the photo studio at a new job and I pushed for strobe lights as opposed to continuous lighting. The power of the strobes allows me to work despite other lights being on, creating a safer work environment for my coworkers as they no longer have to work in the partial darkness. The controls are simple and intuitive and the construction feels sturdy. I have noticed sometimes a strobe doesn't fire despite giving the signal that it's ready. I've chalked this up to wireless communication error. It could be a send/receive error caused by my camera, caused by my trigger, or caused by the strobe, I can't tell. I have yet to trigger the strobes any way other than through my wireless trigger so the jury is out on who is at fault for the missed pops. Regardless, these are fantastic alternatives to the more expensive brands. I've used a lot of Godox products at this point and they have become a brand I can vouch for.

Can I set the modeling light to a proportional mode? (1/2 corresponds to 50% etc) I Lack this feature a lot
    Asked by: Moshe
I was trying to set the modeling lamp in this head to an automatic proportional mode (ex. 1/2 flash = 50% mod.lamp) but never succeeded. There is no mentioning of such mode in the manual. All other cheaper Godox heads have this mode. I would appreciate getting helped in setting the modeling lamp to the proportional mode in Godox QT600IIM. Thank you!

Does this come with a battery pack so you can take it out in the field if not what would you suggest
    Asked by: john
No, it does not. The Godox QT600IIM Flash Head, B&H # GOQT600IIM, is an AC light fixture designed for use on 110 VAC, 60 Hz voltage. It is not designed for battery usage. As such, you would have to purchase a power inverter, such as the (13) Photogenic Ion Lithium-ion Pure Sine Wave Inverter System, B&H # PHION, to provide continuous AC power out in the field on location for your planned usage needs.
