Godox VB-18 Reviews
The battery is swollen and it doesn't charge
I bought this battery in February 2025 and kept it as a backup because the previous one I had got swollen. I got another one, and I thought: 'I'll buy another one just in case this last one breaks down.' Sure enough, the battery I was working with got swollen, and yesterday I took out this last one I had stored. To my surprise, the battery wouldn't charge in my usual charger; I tried another one, and it didn't charge there either. The light on the charger always stays red. I checked the battery and noticed that it came slightly swollen; when placing it on a flat surface, it wobbles or spins easily, which was not the case initially with the other two I had. Terrible, what a waste of money on this garbage from the Godox brand—both batteries and flashes. Now, who is going to be held responsible?
Battery arrived defective — won’t charge
I purchased this Godox VB-18 battery for my flash, but unfortunately, it arrived defective. It does not charge at all, even after trying different chargers and outlets. What’s frustrating is that my old battery — which is almost damaged and slightly swollen — still charges and works, while this brand new one doesn’t even power on. I followed all the recommended troubleshooting steps, but nothing helped. I rely on my gear for professional work
