Godox LEDP260C Reviews

Looks great, very easy to use. HOWEVER, makes an intermittent ticking sound after one month of use. I use it for video, so unfortunately it's useless to me. I don't have to time to mess around with the audio in post to EQ that sound out, so this was a $70 mistake for me.

Plenty of Light

I'm using this as my main or key light for recording videos. I love that it doesn't require a PC connection to adjust settings; the dial and buttons on back do exactly what I need. At only 15% power, it's plenty bright enough at a distance of about three feet (elevated slightly above my eye-line so it doesn't blind me). I also love that it came with a power adapter so I can plug it into an outlet and not have to worry about batteries being low when I'm ready to record.

Not as good as similar panels

This light panel appears very similar in the photos to the other Godox panels that are within a similar price range ($150). Unless you really need something cheap, go for the Godox ES45 instead. This LEDP260C is lower quality plastic and the light is less diffused, it also is not very bright at all and annoyingly starts at 100% brightness every time you turn it on, while others will remember their previous settings. The Godox ES45 by contrast is a nice aluminum construction with removable controls and is way brighter with more granular brightness controls. The CRI is not that great on this one either.

Great Light

Very bright, easy adjustments with back control, solid connector for stand.

I liked it so much I bought 3 more!

These are great lights. I use two of them to light me on stream (could use just one if you don't wear glasses) and then two of them to light the green screen behind me. They are nice and bright and offer both brightness control and color temp control which is critical. These aren't as bright as my promaster led pannel but they are half the cost and do the job well.

Works well, although dimmest settings may be too bright

I use this for adding fill light during work-from-home video calls. I have a large window behind me in my office and I would otherwise appear a silhouette on camera. I like that I can vary the color temperature to compensate for the ambient light in my office. It works really well on really bright days, although I generally need to keep it on the dimmest setting to have just enough fill light to help my laptop camera get a well-exposed image of me against the bright background (I have the panel about 1m away from me). But on cloudy days, the panel is too bright even on the dimmest setting, which makes my skin appear overexposed compared to the rest of the image. I would still recommend it. The remote is very handy. I have my panel mounted on a light stand behind my computer monitors, and I can turn it on and off with the remote, adjust the color temperature, intensity, etc. If I had another few feet of distance behind my monitors, I could move it further back and deal with the fairly intense/bright light. For my close-proximity situation, it works well enough on most (bright) days that I'm generally happy.

Inexpensive solution and has some nice features at the price. It it is going to be your only light, I'd look further.

Very useful. Highly recommend!

I bought this as a light to digitize negatives and slides. I have found it useful in other areas as well. Seems well built and durable.
