I now have 3 of these, and don't ever use my larger ones any more. The square shape is very convenient and it's a little deeper than others I've tried. The grid fits well, and although it does reduce light quite a bit, it creates a much tighter pattern that's handy if you're trying to control the placement a bit.

Can a grid be added? In other words, is the velcro on the inter edge of the soft box? In the picture, it appears that the diffuser is on the outside edge of the soft box. Please advise. Thanks.
Here is some helpful information on the godox rectangular softboxes with bowens speed rings.
There are basically 2 styles of the softboxes. One with an umbrella type frame. Another with a flexible rod frame. The umbrella style is slightly easier to assemble but potentially less portable and potentially heavier and deeper (not verified). I have the umbrella style but haven't had both styles to compare.
Mine did not come with grids, but are compatible. Both my softboxes have a very wide strip of velcro around the inside rim. This leaves plenty of room for the external diffuser as well as a grid. In many pictures of the Godox rectangular softboxes, you'll see the diffuser fabric wrapped around the outside of the softbox, which makes you wonder if it is compatible with a grid. Well, the diffuser seems to be made to fit 2 ways: either with velcro or by wrapping it around the rim. Note that the ones I have would be a very tight stretch if I wanted to mount the fuser wrapped around the rim.
Also, it may be helpful to know that B&H sells the grids separately, and it seems that it is cheaper to buy the grid and softbox separately.
Also, the quality of my softboxes seems to be top notch. No issues with stitching or the frame, as reported by others.
Another note is that they are very deep and you need a lot of room to use them (at least for the umbrella style frame ones). It's annoying that the specs do not include the depth dimension, so make sure you ask for that before you order. The added depth puts a lot of extra strain on your light and stand because of the leverage of the softbox sticking out.

No, the Godox Softbox with Bowens Speed Ring (23.6 x 35.4"), BH #GOSBNB6090, has Velcro on the inside of the softbox so that it can accept the use of a grid. The outer diffuser will wrap around the softbox without any Velcro.
