Android 7.1.1 Nougat
The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. Using the card-based Google Now, Android quickly surfaces information for you whenever you need it, powered by the same Knowledge Engine that runs Google's web search. It's a personalized and customizable OS, allowing you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your homescreen. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to more than one million apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 7.0 Nougat adds major productivity capabilities to the operating system in the form of a multi-window view, which allows for two apps to be placed onscreen at a time. An improved notification system allows you to interact with texts and emails right from your notification pane - without needing to open the app. Other features include file-based encryption, a Data Saver mode, the ability to scale text and icons to better suit your phone's screen, and more.
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS)
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) allows you to lower your mobile costs when traveling while staying connected. Once your SIM cards are installed, you will be able to receive phone calls and text messages from either without needing to manually choose which one is active. When you want to make a call or send an SMS message, you can select the correct SIM card. When one SIM card is being used for a phone call, the other will not be active until you hang up. Operator charges may apply.

Nokia Nokia 6 reviews

6 TA-1025 32GB Smartphone (Unlocked, Copper) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Phone Nokia is known for its high quality phones for years. Durability is the main feature of Nokia-6. Keep in mind that B&H is one of two online stores that offers North American version of Nokia 6 (TA-1025). Other versions will work on GSM networks but not all will give you 4G Internet. The phone is quite slim and extremely durable. It is milled out of a single block of reinforced aluminum. I know no other company that does that. Gorilla 3 glass nicely complements the overall durability of this wonderful phone. Nokia is known for having the best hardware, but for a long time it lagged behind with its software. Not anymore! This phone is running on Android! And the best part about Nokia 6 is the price. It is significantly cheaper than other phones, while it supersedes expensive phones in features and quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features at a very attractive price. I bought this android phone because I needed to upgrade my old Lumia gear, since Microsoft recently announced the end of support for all Windows phones. Bummer! Anyway, I have owned many Nokia products and I have never been disappointed by their quality nor their performance, so I decided to try the new Nokia 6. I put in a nano SIM card that I bought locally, I installed all the applications that I needed, migrated my contacts, music, documents, etc. from my old phone, and I was good to go. Let me tell you that I am very pleased with everything that this phone has to offer, and it may be as good as an Apple or a Samsung product. And If are wondering, let me also tell you that even though it costs a lot less than the latter, the Nokia 6 does not look cheap al all! So if you need a reliable phone with nice features at a good price, this might be the one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product... I've had it not even a week and I loved it the first day. I came from an Asus that I loved but had design/reliability issues. Fingerprint scanner is annoying, but phone has incredible reception, no bloatware, nice durable case... I wish it didn't use the 2nd sim slot for the sd card, but what can you do... I've got a dongle sd card hookup when I i need to carry more storage than this holds at 32gb. Wish there was an option for 64gb. I am thrilled to be back using Nokia. Glad they came back from beyond the grave...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Once again, a solid Nokia I got what I wanted, another solid Nokia product. I needed to upgrade my older Nokia X3-02 since T-Mobile appears to pushing us toward LTE and VoLTE, and 3.5G service in my part of the S.F. Bay Area is intermittent and the signal switches back to 2G or Edge for data if one doesn't have 4G LTE. The new Nokia 6 is showing strong signal strength for T-Mobile's 4G LTE and VoLTE signals, and I've had no problems with data, voice or texting. The phone feels very solid, updates are coming through fine and the only criticism would be the camera isn't as good as the Carl Zeiss lens I had on a Nokia 928 Lumia I once used with Verizon. That's the reason my rating is four stars instead of five, but picture quality is very acceptable for my needs. Battery life appears to be fine, only needed a charge every two days. For heavy users, I think a nightly charge will be necessary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent phone for the price I have Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini as my main phone for everyday life and I am not a heavy phone user. I also have an old Nokia phone to travel to Europe. I buy local SIM card and it works great. I wanted to buy a modern 4G-LTE smartphone with two SIM card slots to use one SIM for phone calls and one – for data transfer or for foreign SIM card overseas. I do not play games or watch video on my cell phone, but occasionally I use it to take photos and videos. Nokia 6 seems to meet my needs in many respects – price ($230), memory, functionality (availability of certain LTE bands, sensors, NFC, Bluetooth, camera resolution, etc.). So I bought this phone three weeks ago. PROS: In general, I really like this phone. I am satisfied with processor speed for the applications that I use. I like that it runs the newest version of Android. Its antenna is sensitive – it can detect cellular networks in places where my Samsung S4 Mini displayes message "No network". It has very stylish design. It does not emit heat when used as a GPS navigation or if it serves as a hotspot to connect my tablet to the Internet. It does warm up slightly during Skype sessions, but not too much. Made from a single block of aluminum, it is very solid and well-designed. I like the way voice commands work - Nokia 6 does not have problems “understanding” my accent. Display is nice and bright, sound is very good. It is very easy to connect it to other devices (tested Bluetooth, NFC and wireless). I like the way proximity sensor works - it turns off loudspeaker when you bring the phone to your ear. CONS: There are just a few things about the phone that I do not like, but one of them I think is important. First, I almost returned it to B&H when I learned that this phone has a “hybrid” SIM card tray. In other words, if I put two SIM cards in it, there is no room left for a memory card. Later I read that most modern “Dual SIM” smartphones have the same design (which I do not like). Second, the SIM cards tray in Nokia 6 seems to be very flimsy, in sharp contrast with solid-built body of the phone. Every time I replace a card, I am afraid to break the tray or damage the mechanism of its release. Third, and most important thing that disappointed me was the REAR CAMERA of this phone. It does not have ANY IMAGE STABILIZATION. Performance of the camera in daylight is acceptable, but it does not perform well in low light. HDR mode has very little effect (if any), and taking videos using even slight zoom is a nightmare – videos are too shaky to watch. (Off note, I am what they call a "semi-pro" photographer and I do know how to hold my camera to avoid or minimize shaking). Nokia installed interesting two-tone flash for rear camera, but I did not find any explanations what it is for and how to use it properly. Anyway, I believe Nokia could do a better job with this camera by installing at least a digital image stabilization, if not optical, and giving users more control over the camera. I am not saying that phone cameras should be perfect. It is just that rear camera of this phone is outperformed by my old Samsung camera, by the camera of my daughter’s IPad 2017 and by my tablet's camera (Samsung Tab A with S pen, 2017). IN CONCLUSION, I think this is an excellent phone for the price. As a phone, it works just great – to make phone calls, to connect to the Internet, to read BBC news during lunch at cafeteria, to communicate with other devices, to use it for Skype or as a GPS navigator. I would highly recommend it as modern stylish 4G LTE smartphone, but only if you are not planning to use it as a replacement of your traditional photo and video cameras. I do miss some applications and features that came with Android devices from Samsung , but hopefully I will get used to this.
