Haida NanoPro ND Filter Overview

The 100 x 100mm NanoPro MC ND Filter is designed for the Haida M10 filter holder. This square neutral density filter is 2mm thick and features an 8x filter factor, providing a 3-stop reduction in exposure across the entire image. This allows you to slow down shutter speeds to capture movement in your photos and use wider apertures in bright lighting situations.

Made of optical glass, the filter is designed to provide a neutral performance that leaves no color cast and preserves image sharpness. Applied on both sides are several layers of coating which help reduce ghosting and reflections. The coating also makes the surface resistant to scratches and repels water, making it easier to clean when using the filter in inclement conditions.

Recommended by Scott Kelby and Erik Kuna - a long exposure project for the KelbyOne Inner Circle. Results were fantastic. I am giving serious consideration to doing more long exposure captures, but will need to get a 10-stop filter. :)

Not too expensive, good fit. Good for shooting video at the sun early morning/late afternoon without having to stop down too much.

question

Why is this filter Red?
Asked by: Howie
The filters are coated on both side and at certain angles, the filter surfaces reflect certain colors. However, the light going through the filter and the lens is not this color but a neutral one. There will be no adverse affect on your image.
