CAME-TV Pro 1000W Reviews
Lasted 1 shoot
This thing stopped working on the second shoot I brought it to.
Used twice broke twice....cheap and unreliable.
This 1K broke in the middle of 2 shoots back to back. Job #1: Powered up, it worked for an hour or so. I turned the light off to move it. It would turn back on. I switched globes. Nothing. It was done. B&H makes you send it to Came TV in China. Shipping alone, is one week each way. After 3 weeks of waiting for my replacement, they sent me a brand new light and I was happy. I took it to job #2, plugged it in and everything seemed good. I moved the light 5 feet over, the dimmer/cord made contact with the light stand and switch popped, a blue-ish flame came out of the dimmer. The light stayed on and I was at the beginning of the shoot so I left it be and did my work. After the job, I contacted Came and told them what happened. I told them that the light still works on full power so i want to keep it for my other jobs until a replacement comes. They would not send a replacement and said they need to see the light....in China...again. I couldn't wait another 3 weeks so I'm going to order my own dimmer and try to replace it on my own after my next two jobs. I am disappointed that B&H even carries this cheap type of gear and won't deal with the issues that come up. I won't buy anymore Came TV gear because waiting 6 weeks for two broken lights is a joke. I will save up and get Arris which are 500-600% more expensive but they work and you can beat the crap out of them. I have used Arri's for years and was trying to save a few bucks and it has been a very bad choice on my part. I looked like a ding dong in front of two different clients because this light won't even work for one full shoot. If you make any type of income on your gear, do not buys Came TV lights. They are a bad move.

No quality control!!!
After 10 minutes of testing the fresnel glass broke and the bulb burn... bought two of this, two glasses broke, one bulb seems to be working fine.
This is the one you need to get
I have two of these lights that don't have a dimmer control and if you actually want to have a really good image with softer light, you need the dimmer controls. Get this one, it's worth it.
Stop working immediately
Never actually worked. Turned on for a second, then went black. Which I kind of figured because it so cheaply made. Came-tv usually has decent equipment. This is not good
Cheap Cheap cheap.. but you get what you Pay for
I wasn't expecting much for $150 but usually came-tv products are decent. This is not one. So poorly made it's ridiculous. Parts barely for together. It rattles like mad. Zero instructions how to put it Together as it comes in pieces. It's probably the junkiest piece of gear I've ever used on set. But we needed a budget light, so hears hoping it lasts a week. Doubt it though.
