Moto Gamepad Moto Mod overview

  • 1Description

Take charge of your games with the Moto Gamepad Moto Mod. Like other Moto Mods, the Gamepad snaps onto the back of any member of the Moto Z family of phones and is held in place with magnets. This Moto Mod adds physical gaming controls to your device and uses the Moto Mods connector for a direct link with your phone, avoiding the lag that can occur with wireless connections like Bluetooth.

The Gamepad features two control sticks, a D-pad, A/B/X/Y action buttons, L1/L2/L3D and R1/R2/R3D buttons, and home/select/start buttons. A pair of LED lights illuminate as you play. The internal 1035 mAh battery lasts up to eight hours and can be charged via the USB Type-C port or through the phone when connected and charging.

Moto Gamepad Moto Mod reviews

Gamepad Moto Mod is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for emulators Had this for about 3-4 months, and it's pretty good. Granted I haven't used it for any games made for it, I've only used it for emulators for the GBA and SNES. But for both of them it works perfectly, you're even able to map your buttons for customizable configuration. From what I hear, there aren't a lot of games available for it specifically. But all you really need are some emulators to get your money's worth. However if you don't get any emulators, you may find this product lacking in last ability. Oh right and there is like a split second delay for the buttons on an Emulator if you pause between actions, a minor thing that's easy to get used to, but still bothersome early on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome for games Lots of reviews with the D pad being way to hard but mine is fine, I press normal level on it and it works great for platformers or other games. It's easy and convenient to use, the top (L and R) buttons a hard to use though . The included battery doesn't charge the phone, I guess the pad uses it for itself. It's very long, I pictured it being smaller, this isn't pocketable. Games like asphalt 8 are amazing with this thing, same as "dan the man" and other platformers like sonic. Apparently this works well with emulators. Great mod, highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a game changer! I purchased this for shadowgun legends. It makes any game you play that much more comfortable to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite Moto Mod I've used to date. Buttons are a little bit close together, but this is still the my favorite Moto Mod I've used.
