LEE Filters ProGlass IRND Filter (150 x 150mm, 3-Stop)
Key Features
  • 0.9 Optical Density
  • Scratch Resistant, Optical Glass
  • For SW150-Series Filter Holder
  • Darkens Entire Image
The 150 x 150mm ProGlass IRND Filter from LEE Filters is an ND filter with an 8x filter factor that provides a 3-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.9 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters are intended to not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

LEE Filters ProGlass IRND Filter Overview

The 150 x 150mm ProGlass IRND Filter from LEE Filters is an ND filter with an 8x filter factor that provides a 3-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.9 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters are intended to not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

The design of this filter has been optimized for use with digital sensors and to promote nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light, compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times.

This 150 x 150mm ProGlass IRND 0.9 Filter Is constructed from scratch-resistant, optical glass for increased clarity as well as color fidelity.

  • Compatible with a Lee Filters SW150-series filter holder.
  • 150 x 150mm neutral density filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.
  • Providing a 3-stop exposure reduction, this filter allows you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
  • Filter does not affect coloration of the image and is appropriate for use with other filters.
  • Attenuates infrared light as well as visible wavelengths, to maintain color neutrality and suppress color casts due to increased exposure times.
  • Constructed from optical glass for clarity.
  • Padded pouch included for storage and transport.

Outstanding filter system. Many Options available. The IRND filters eliminate the blue hue of the standard stoppers Five stars and then some.

How is this different from the big stopper?
Asked by: Mohamed
Big stopper is 10 stops. 15 stops is a HUGE difference. If 10 stops only gets you down to 1/60s the 15 stop gets you to 1/8s. I use mine for daytime long exposures. Quality and no color casts is just like the other Lee IRND's.

Are the Pro Glass filters coated? I don’t think the Stopper series are. Correct me if I’m wrong.

The LEE Filters ProGlass IRND Filter (100 x 100mm, 3-Stop), according to LEE, has been made possible thanks to technological advances in coatings.
