This card reader is trash

It only reads CF cards and NOT SD or Mini SD. If you plug in any SD it will not read and may corrupt your files. CEOs of companies that sell an item that does not work as advertised should be jailed for a long period. That way future companies will know they can't lie about what their product can and cannot do.

This is an excellent product, works perfectly and at a very reasonable price too!

Nice design but poor quality.

I use this reader mainly for CF cards. The pins inside are very easy to bend, rendering it useless. They can be straightened back with some effort. After a year of use the reader stopped working completely for me.

A smart design but take note that it is not a regular USB connection.

Just plug it in to your computer's USB-C slot and transfer your SD camera card images instantly. Works with SanDisc chip alone or with an adapter. Simple and quick.

This is everything you want in a USB-C card reader. I use it with my iPad Pro (2020). I have it specifically because of the CompactFlash slot, and it uploads Canon RAW files to LightRoom for editing extremely fast.

Damaged the micro SD card

I placed my micro SD card in the reader to copy contents on PC and it kept disconnecting and reconnecting. After 5 minutes I took the card out and placed it back into the tablet and it was not recognized anymore. I placed the card in the reader again and the card got extremely hot. I took the card to a data recovery specialist who confirmed the card had internal damaged. I lost 250 GB of data.

Interfers with WiFi connection

Whenever I use my EZCard card reader on my 2016 MacBook Pro, my WiFi connection is blocked. Not sure what that's all about but it definitely interrupts my work flow. Furthermore, it's really finicky about being read by my computer. I have to plug it in just so and only some of my type-c slots work. Could be my computer. Either way, there must be a better product than this one with the aforementioned issues, look elsewhere I advise.

question

Can this EZQuest card reader be used to download still pictures (and/or video) from an iPhone 5C to an SD card?
Asked by: Anonymous
The only way you could do that with this card reader is to pull the files to your computer from the iPhone first, then transfer them from the computer to the SD card using the reader.

I don't like this reader much. CF cards are hard to place in the device and they have to be upside down. Not impressed with this reader at all.
