The Jensen Transformers Iso-Max DIN-PC is a single-channel, "pro-to-consumer" line isolator designed to convert a +4 dBu balanced line-level signal to a consumer -10 dBV unbalanced line-level signal, while eliminating hum and buzz caused by ground loops. Ideal for large-scale installations such as performance venues, broadcast houses or AV systems, it allows engineers to connect the balanced output from a mixing desk to the unbalanced input of a hand-held video recorder, laptop, and more.
The DIN-PC features a Jensen high-performance transformer that provides galvanic isolation between the input and output, reducing common-mode noise by as much as 120 dB. The unit delivers a flat frequency-response from 10 Hz to 140 kHz, and can withstand signals in excess of +21 dBu down to 20 Hz, without discernible distortion.
Connections to and from the Jensen Transformers Iso-Max DIN-PC are made via removable screw-down wire terminals. The module comes equipped with a gray, molded assembly made from UL94-VO flame-retardant Noryl.
