KanexPro UltraSlim Reviews

works well, status lights are very bright

setup was a breeze - I don't care about the 'auto' setting, so I turned it off. The only complaint I have at this point is that the status lights on the front panel are much brighter than they need to be. I haven't played with the audio options yet - this is for switching a 4K monitor between a couple of computers and (future use) one or two cameras, so audio is much less important for me

KanexPro makes a great product

All works fine except one thing bothers me that when you have it on automatic to choose the channel doesn't work every time and the unit has to stay on at all times . Rather than these two issues I am ok with it although it is a bit pricey .

Yes it does. KanexPro lists this model as having CEC - Pass through enabled.

If the audio out is used does the HDMI out retain ...

If the audio out is used does the HDMI out retain its audio or is audio completely stripped from the signal? Also does the audio in jack replace the HDMI audio, mix it in, or add extra channels?
Asked by: Chris
The HDMI will still have the audio on the output. However if you use the audio jack in it will replace the HDMI audio, it will not mix the two.
