To ensure all of your devices can connect to your Mac or Windows laptop, Elgato has included three USB 3.0 ports into the dock. Rounding out the list of connectivity options offered by this Thunderbolt 3 Dock are the 3.5mm audio jacks making it easy to plug in both headphones and a microphone for enhanced audio playback and clear audio transmission.

4K Display Support
The Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock features a built-in DisplayPort that can drive any display up to 4K resolution. Better yet, simultaneously connect a second 4K display to the USB Type-C port and enjoy enhanced productivity.
Provides up to 85 Watts of Power
Providing up to 85W of power, the Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock charges your MacBook Pro through the same cable you use to connect it. Gone are the days of lugging around your power brick, or running out of juice if you forgot to pack it.
Improved Power Management
Your USB devices will also benefit from improved power management, USB Type-C accessories are always properly powered with up to 15W, while the built-in USB 3.0 ports can even charge your iPad, boost your iPhone charge, or power your Apple SuperDrive.

SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Ports
With three SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, your workspace remains organized even when you unplug your notebook. Rest assured that your backup drive is there to provide safety in the background, and don't keep re-plugging your devices in and out because of your computer's limitations. Even better, an easily accessible USB port on the front of Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock makes plugging in that client's thumb drive a breeze, without having to deal with adapters or unreliable connections.
Thunderbolt 3 Connectivity
The Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock offers two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one to connect and charge your computer, and one to extend the versatility of Thunderbolt even further. Connect accessories such as a 5K Thunderbolt 3 display, an ultra-fast storage solution, or an adapter for your legacy Thunderbolt 2 devices. And thanks to the versatility of USB Type-C, you can also opt to connect your USB accessories or an additional display to the same port - just as you would on your MacBook Pro or Windows laptop, minus the cable mess.
Gigabit Ethernet
Wired network connections are faster and more reliable than any Wi-Fi network, and with Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock, you can tap into the full performance of Gigabit Ethernet. Enjoy speedy connections to your servers, uninterrupted downloads from the internet and reliable file transfers with your co-workers - without an additional adapter dangling awkwardly from the side of your notebook.

With the free Elgato Thunderbolt Dock Utility, avoiding data loss is just a click in your menu bar away: conveniently eject all storage devices at once and immediately see when it's safe to disconnect your Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock.
Audio Connectivity
Even your headphones can stay connected with the built-in, amplified, stereo audio port. An additional, independent audio input port enables you to simultaneously connect a high-quality microphone for crystal-clear conference calls, or any other project that profits from having your voice heard.

    Elgato Systems 10DAA4101 reviews

Thunderbolt 3 Dock is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, except for DisplayPort Using the DisplayPort port on this unit with my 4K Dell monitor didn't work. Elgato's support site singled out my monitor as problematic, and recommended not using DisplayPort. I had to purchase a $20 USB-C to DisplayPort cable, and use the Thunderbolt/USB-C port on this dock. It works, but isn't ideal that I have a port I can't use. No technical issues with other ports. I do wish there was a fourth USB 3 port for some extra headroom. That said, it is amazing to get power and all my peripherals through a single cable. Since I dock/undock a few times a day, this makes for a wonderfully efficient experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Thunderbolt 3 Dock for 2017 MacBook Pro with 5K This is being used with a 15 2017 MacBook Pro. I have had no issues whatsoever. It charges my computer just fine. I have Ethernet and a USB keyboard attached to it. Additionally, and maybe more interestingly, I have a Cable Matters Thunderbolt 3 to dual DisplayPort adapter attached, which is connected to an HP 5K screen (Z27q). This is the part I was curious to test. So far, the screen is running perfectly at 5K 60Hz and has come up every time I've connected the computer to the dock. I chose this screen because I wanted a matte-finish 5K screen. As far as I know it is the only one produced. Actually, seems it isn't produced anymore; I got mine as a refurb from HP. Great screen. But I digress... The HP screen requires two DisplayPort connections, as does the similar-but-glossy Dell 5K screen. The LG screen doesn't because it uses Thunderbolt 3 directly. I could maybe have used one DisplayPort cable straight from the dock and a USB-C to DisplayPort cable for the second connection but I chose this route, it seemed more uniform to me. All I know is it works. By the way, I think the Cable Matters adapter I'm using is the same as the recently-announced Sonnet one (except it's available now).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Customer Support: "Don't use our features" Audio out exhibits loud hiss. Tested with multiple headphones / computers. Was told by customer support to use the output on my laptop instead. Decent thunderbolt dock with half-baked garbage stapled on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Updated review I can't go back and edit my previous review of this product, so I am writing a new one. Unfortunately, my dock was either defective or it's really got some design issues. Ethernet stopped negotiating with my switch reliably so was sometimes left at 100Mbps (or no ethernet at all) and the display problems kept becoming worse (not able to reliably go into the right resolution). Elgato support was friendly, but not helpful taking days to respond.
