Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crucial RAM works perfectly in my 2017 iMac I checked the Geekbench memory speed on my iMac with the standard 8 GB ram to have a baseline before installing additional RAM. I decided to remove the original 8 GB Apple RAM and install the 32 GB Crucial RAM in those slots, thinking they should be in the primary slots. I reinstalled the 8 GB in the secondary slots. The computer booted fine and the Geekbench memory test showed a slight increase in the memory speed. This convinces me that the Crucial RAM is NOT detrimental to the RAM speed of the iMac. I am very satisfied with this Crucial RAM and having 40 GB total RAM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Like A Charm I desperately needed more memory for my computer as I do a lot of editing in FCPX, and the Adobe Creative Suite. My biggest worry was getting the wrong memory, messing up the install, and it not working with the Mac given memory. Popped these bad boys right into my 27-inch 5K Retina Display Mac and they immediately started working! Now I'm operating off of 40GB and the results are unparalleled. Computer can multi task a lot better (as I edit particular fast and efficient) and I can go straight from keying, animating, and altering graphics with no problems at all. About to get two more so I can upgrade to 64GB!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for the 27" iMac 5K Installs easily and immediately recognized by the computer. Much better price than the OEM Apple memory. If you are keeping your original RAM for your iMac: the Slots (from the top) in the #2 and #4 position are the "primary" slots for the computer. You can mix and match pairs of memory, but from the research I found it was best to keep the pairs balanced. So when you install the larger memory, and if you have open slots -- put the original iMac memory in slots #1 and #3, and move your new (larger) memory pair to slots #2 and #4. Good luck!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from MAY NOT WORK TOGETHER WITH 2017 I MAC AND APPLE MEMORY After 3 weeks my 2017 iMAC would not start with this item installed AND with(2) Apple provided 4 GB RAM modules installed. Computer did start with EITHER the Apple or the Crucial memory installed separately. Crucial replaced their memory and new memory now works with Apple memory. However, I note that the picture of the module shown here has a blue and white label. The modules I received from B and H had an all white label. The replacement labels from Crucible has the blue and white labels. I do not know if that means anything. Label numbers are the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked on Mid 2017 27in iMac w/SSD and i7 Replaced the 8GB w/ two sets of these for 64GB on a mid 2017 27in iMac i7 w/SSD. Ran apple startup diagnostics that reported no problem. iMac has memory upgrade instructions on the "About this Mac" dialog "Memory" Tab. Been using for week or so with no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A breeze to install on your iMac Purchased an iMac with the minimum (8G) of memory. Apple installed memory is outrageously expensive so my plan was to add 32G so I would have a total of 40G. Took 5 minutes to install. Booted up without issue and had a significant improvement in speed, app launch, and overall performance. All that and I saved over $750 on the equivalent memory from the factory. A no-brainer upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have never been let down using Crucial Memory! I upgraded a Imac 27 B&H purchase with Crucial memory a few months ago. I've been working with computers now since 1983 when Windows was a DOS machine, and they were struggling with windows 3.1. Memory? I've replace a lot of memory boards in 71 years, and learned decades ago that Crucial memory was unsurpassed! I did have to replace one Crucial memory board in a computer that was struck by lightning through the dial-up modem. (Whats that!) Before buying an Imac 27 from B&H, I already planed to buy it with the minimum memory, and buy/add Crucial memory and save a ton of money! I wasn't looking forward to chasing down the memory I wanted, and I wanted Crucial... While mulling this over, I took a peek into B&H' accessories tab: What luck! They offered all the accessories for this Imac, And they were specifying Crucial! That was easy. I have yet to be disappointed with B&H in years of dealing with them! All their picks for accessories were top of the line and well priced! My gain!!
