LG B7A overview

  • 1Description

View content at four times the resolution of 1080p with the LG B7A-Series 65"-Class UHD Smart OLED TV. It will upscale lower-resolution video sources to near-4K quality for improved clarity. This TV has a 64.5" OLED display for enhanced black levels and virtually infinite contrast. Supporting the HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG standards for HDR, the B7A can display a wider range of color with compatible content than non-HDR TVs.

The B7A has built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity to allow access to your favorite apps and Internet-based content via the LG Content Store and the integrated web browser. You can use your tablet or smartphone for media sharing and screen mirroring on the B7A. With four HDMI inputs, there are multiple options for connecting high-definition video sources. It also features a composite RCA input for analog sources. Three USB ports are onboard for connecting multimedia peripherals like flash drives.

Note: Content acquired via certain apps may require subscription to a service.

Perfect Black
OLED pixels create their own light, and can switch off to achieve perfect black levels with zero light bleed, revealing enhanced shadow detail while providing a foundation for color and contrast.
Active HDR with Dolby Vision
Active HDR analyzes and optimizes HDR10 content scene-by-scene for an augmented High Dynamic Range experience. The B7A-series also supports Dolby Vision as well as the backward-compatible HLG HDR standard.
Billion Rich Colors
The availability of a billion rich colors gives the TV a palette 64-times broader than conventional televisions, to reproduce images with more subtle and precise gradations for a more lifelike picture.

    LG B7A reviews

B7A-Series 65"-Class HDR UHD Smart OLED TV is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Must be broken I received the new TV on Mon this week. I was able to unbox it and try it out that night. The first problem is that no matter what source I use on each of the HDMI inputs, the video and voice are horribly mismatched and nothing is watchable. There is a rudimentary feature to try to get them to sync...but (1) that should not be necessary and (2) it does not provide sufficient granularity to worth using. The other issue is with picture effects whenever a scene pans. The screen pixelates and appears to be blurry and unwatchable. I am hoping this is just a "lemon". I was so hoping to have a wonderful new 4k OLED experience...So far it has been a horrible disaster.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OLED - Burn-In I do not not know about this years LG OLED B7A but I purchased last years LG OLED B6P and image burn-in is a major problem. My brother bought one from another vendor and he has the same problem. If you watch any Networks which display Logos or continuous info boxes you will get burn-in. Mine showed up after five months and my brothers after six. Keep in mind LG does not warranty burn-in. Their web page tells you it is not a problem on their tv's, but it can and does happen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good. No Atmos pass through So far the TV is fantastic. The Picture is great, bright and sharp. The Web OS is one of the best I've seen on a TV thus far. I'm able to get everything that I watch but hoping for a couple more apps to pop up soon. Maybe HBONow? I bought this TV in combination with the Dolby Atmos SJ9 however, I found out that this TV, even with an incoming Atmos Signal from Netflix, will not pass the signal along to an Atmos sound bar. that's a major bummer. I knew that this TV didn't do atmos but since I wasn't using the internal speakers, I had hoped that wasn't an issue. I suppose I should have spent more for the C version or E version of this TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the wait Picture: After changing some basic pictures settings, I found it very difficult to find any fault in the picture other than some banding on very dark scenes that was solved by slightly changing the brightness and contrast. Also, I have a moderately bright room and this TV is more than sufficient to display a bright picture once some basic settings are adjusted on the TV. Sound: The sound is sufficient for a TV, but nothing spectacular. Shipping: Shipping took about a week and a half to Massachusetts, but the TV was delivered in good shape with no apparent damages upon inspection and use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OLED for the masses Wow, the price of LG's entry level is probably within the budget of most people who take TV viewing with some seriousness. As multiple reviews of OLED report the presence of absolute black has to be seen to be believed (and I thought my LCD 4K TV was pretty good until I saw this. My LG TV is only a few days old but setup was easy and the tv weighs about 1/2 the weight of my LCD. Colors appear deep but I will need more time to explore this. I miss 3D. You should definitely consider an OLED!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome TV Fantastic TV! Best picture since my Panasonic plasma 65". Great color depth and actual black contrast like a plasma. The LG Smart TV interface & OS is also very good and easy to use. Wide range of apps available and plenty of memory to store. My second LG OLED purchase - the picture quality will spoil you...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing My first 4K and I am loving my purchase. After several TV purchases in the last 5 years, my wife finally commented positively on the clarity and sharpness of the picture. Everyone in the family is in awe. Excellent for gaming and UHD videos on the Xbox One X!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great purchase! I bought this to 'supplement' the LG E6P-Series 55"-Class UHD 3D Smart OLED TV I bought last year. I was expecting a lot based on the reviews I had read of this line of LG OLEDs and comparing it to last years purchase. The picture quality is simply beyond description. I will simply say that if you are in the market for a new TV and this is in your price range, it's a no-brainer. This is easily the most impressive television I have ever seen.
