I've been using this for a month now and I'm glad I bought it. I have big hands and the extra size this gives makes it so much easier to get a comfortable grip. The buttons and dials when in portrait are amazing as well, so convenient. Thank you B&H for such great service.

No. The camera cannot power the flash. There are external battery supplies which can power this flash, if the internal AA replaceable batteries are not sufficient.
