    3 Legged Thing QR11-LC reviews

    QR11-LC Universal L-Bracket (Orange) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value I purchased this L bracket to have something to use with my pre-ordered D850 (if that is delivered in the first batch). Neither Kirk not RRS have anything available yet. The bracket is semi universal (see the list of what it fits under Specs) and it works well with my D800. It isn't quite as comfortable in the hand as he Kirk bracket I have for that camera - the lower left outside corner is not well rounded - so I will probably not keep it on the camera full time. When I expect to need to make quick switches between landscape and portrait it will be fine. The finish seems good and it works well with my RRS LR clamp. Thankfully it is available in dark grey, and not just one of the garish colours 3 Legged Thing seems so fond of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bracket This is a well made bracket that works well with my Nikon 750. You need to slide the mounting bracket to allow access the the side panel on the camera. For me this is not a problem and doesn't change the ease of switching from horizontal to vertical.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It will do what I bought it for I previously had the earlier version of this L-bracket team with my Fuji X-T1 camera. As I often use the remote control, fitted on the left side of the camera body, I attached the bracket from the left. Worked very well. I recently bought an X-T2 and found out the hard way that the attachment screw at the bottom of the body had been moved and the old bracket would not fit. I was very happy to see that this slightly longer version is available and just received it. The longer version fits my X-T2 installed in the same way that I'm used to so that is perfect. Being a universal bracket, one will have to live with the fact that battery access etc is not available but I can live with that. The bracket is well made, feels solid and does what I want it to for a very reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's an L bracket I'm not sure there's much I can review on this product. It's good, does what it needs to do. I use one on my 80D and my 5D MKIV. Both have to be adjusted to get a battery in and out of attach a microphone. But nothing that's earth shattering. Plenty of length to work with and it fits well in both my tripods. Would recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great device for quickly switching camera angles This feels like a high quality tool. Three legged things are a very good brand so I  had no worries when ordering it. It’s performed better than expected. Easy to set up easily makes it worth the price. When buying an “L” bracket first check your tripod head and make sure it’s arca Swiss compatible, ie there can not be any lips sticking up or it will prevent this from working properly. If you shoot anything from portraits to landscapes, this should find its way into your bag. Also, it is quite a bit cheaper priced the. Some of the alternatives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 3LeggedThing as Handgrip for RX100m Used the 3LT with a BlackRapid strap for our recent trip to NY. It was the perfect combination for travel since I don't have to bring the RX100 in and out of my backpack or pouch. The short side of the bracket was very usefull as a left hand grip specially if you flip-out the LCD of the RX100 to take low angle photos/videos. It was also handy when I handed the RX100 to our 7-year-old, to take a photo of me and my wife. He naturally grabbed the short side of the bracket as a grip. I also used the RX100's supplied wrist-strap and looped it through the long side of the 3LT. See attached photos. It's an extra safety strap when you want to change the battery of your camera in the streets of NY and don't have a table.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3LT L Bracket I bought the orange version to go with the orange knob on the AirHed to keep it straight that the orange knob releases or tightens this plate. If you keep the orange knob on the AirHed to the lens side of the camera, the opportunity to accidentally release the plate is greatly reduced. I am using this bracket with a Canon 6D and while there is an opening at the side for accessing the doors on the camera, I find that the camera still has to be mounted with some space left between the left edge of the camera and the plate in order to allow the shutter release cable enough room to sit between the plate and the camera. This is not a huge deal as the plate mounts very snugly to the camera and by having that small gap on the left edge, the battery door is also fully accessible on the bottom. Overall, the ability to go from portrait to landscape very quickly without tipping the ball head to one side is very appealing. The carabiner tool is included with this plate and it is very useful for tightening the screw that goes into the camera and it clips onto the tripod so you don't lose it. I have become a big 3LT fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! This is my first L bracket, and while it does not fit my 5D mark IV 100% perfectly, that is ok. It is a universal bracket and made to work on almost any camera. For the price of a custom bracket made for my specific camera, I am happy with this, knowing when and if I buy another camera down the road, I can still use this. Great for putting my camera vertical on my tripod when ding panoramas.
