Wireless ShutterBoss II Remote Switch with Digital Timer for Canon & Nikon Cameras Kit is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good timer for multiple long exposures. I use the Vello Shutterboss II for controlling the camera while shooting night astrophotography. I take multiple exposures, typically 20 or more, and of 2 minutes or longer, each. DSLR's don't do exposures in excess of 30 seconds and the Shutterboss easily performs this function. I just program the remote, set back and let the Shutterboss do the work. Only one small complaint: the instruction manual is printed in small fine print, a difficulty for old eyes. And some of the instructions require a little experimenting to understand exactly how to set up the remote. Otherwise, the Shutterboss II performs exactly as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing kit - I definately would purchase again I needed a remote shutter control for my Nikon D600. My desire was to capture photographs of the Hummingbirds attracted to my wife's feeder and the many flowers in her garden. The small creatures are shy and blazingly quick. Handheld telephoto shots resulted in a small, blurred image hidden at the edge of the photo. First time with this kit I achieved half a dozen sharp, clear shots with the bird hovering in the center of the image. I had set the camera on a tripod aimed where the subject would likely be, and went into the house to wait. I pressed the remote when the small male Ruby Throat was centered. Success is sweet and has opened a whole set of new photography possibilities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Practice in the daylight Unit does everything that it says it does. I got this on one of the 24-hour specials and was pleased to see it came with adaptors for both Nikon and Canon cameras. Initial use was rocky as it was very dark and I hadn't practiced using the unit in the daylight. As you might expect, wrong buttons were pushed and the photos were not what I had in mind. Things went much better the next night after a review of menus, buttons and procedures under circumstances in which I was not trying to hold a flashlight in my mouth while simultaneously operating the timer and swatting at mosquitos. My only ongoing concern is that the battery life for the hot-shoe receiver unit is only about 400 hours, even in standby. I'll need to stock extras of the receiver and timer batteries and add them to my gadget bag.
