Teradek Serv Pro Overview

Designed to be used on set for single or multicam productions, the Teradek Serv Pro is the foundation of Teradek's network-based video monitoring system. Connect the Serv Pro unit to your camera's SDI or HDMI port, and up to 10 iOS, Android, or macOS devices running the free Vuer app can monitor the camera's video signal in resolutions up to 1080p with minimal 2-frame latency.

The Serv Pro can achieve this through efficient H.264 compression schemes, which maintain a high standard of video quality without requiring the massive bandwidth of uncompressed video solutions. Since the transmission is Wi-Fi based, the Serv Pro can be integrated into your local network for increased versatility. Multiple Serv Pro units can be linked over the same network for multicamera monitoring functionalities. One iPad or smartphone can monitor up to four simultaneous feeds at the same 1080p resolution and 2-frame latency as a single feed.

Stream Using Local Networks
The Serv Pro connects to cameras via HDMI or 3G-SDI and streams over 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet to iOS, Android, or macOS devices connected to the same network. Each unit supports up to 10 simultaneous connections, whether you connect directly to Serv Pro or to the same wireless access point.
High-Definition at Low Latency
Each Serv Pro feed is streamed at 1080p with just a 2-frame delay. The video stream also includes a stereo audio channel that can be enabled or disabled from the Vuer iOS/Android application.
Complements other Wireless Solutions
The Serv Pro operates on 5 GHz Wi-Fi and is a complementary tool to zero delay wireless systems like the Bolt series. With proper frequency management, these systems will work together without interference.
Vuer iOS App
The Vuer application for iOS puts an entire cinematographer's toolset in your hands, allowing you to use tools such as vectorscopes, false color, focus peaking, and more on each Serv Pro feed you're monitoring. The application is free to use and can be customized to allow users full or limited access to the toolset. Vuer can monitor up to 4 Serv Pro feeds at the same time, all in 1080p, and all at the same 2-frame delay.

Yes there is an Android app but I have had issues with users getting the video feed into the camera slots. They can see the image in the devices are but can’t add them to the A,B,C,D and or get them to load in the main viewing page where all the tools are.

What size / thread is the mounting hole on the servPro? I'd need to mount them on a c-stand, light stand or Kardelinni. Can anyone recommend piece for this?
Asked by: Ryan
The Serv has a standard 1/4"-20 threading. For a C-Stand with a 5/8" top connection the Matthews Baby Pin Adapter 5/8" Female to 1/4-20" Male, B&H # MAA.252038N, is a great option. https://bhpho.to/2Rm4Juw

Can I output from my macbook pro to iOS devices?
Asked by: Regine
If you can get an HDMI or SDI Signal into the Serv Pro it can transmit it. There will be a slight delay, which would make using a mouse a bit difficult. But if all you are trying to do is share your screen, then absolutely, it will work beautifully. I am looking to add a second one to my kit soon. I love it.

Get the Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter (White) B&H # APMD826AMA plus an HDMI cable and connect to the Teradek transmitter. Set up a receiver for the monitor and you are set.
