With full support for Fujifilm TTL, including high-speed sync, and a built-in 2.4GHz radio system, the Godox TT685F Thinklite TTL Flash will make it easy to create both simple and elaborate lighting setups. When mounted on camera, it is an effective lighting tool with a powerful guide number of 197' at ISO 100 and 200mm, a zoom range of 20-200mm, and the ability to tilt from -7 to 90° and rotate 360°. Godox TT685 Reviews

Works Well for older Canon EOS

I bought this for an older Canon 60D because the newer flash system wasn't compatible. It took a little while to figure out the setup for work with the 60D, but once that was done it works just fine each time I use it.

Solid powerful flash but...

Flash is solidly built, powerful, and has fairly intuitive menus. My only complaint is the TTL Auto zoom setting doesn't match my lens zoom (for example a 35mm is set for my 25mm lens). This causes some flash vignetting. Can be correcting by setting the zoom to the correct setting in Manual zoom. This takes care of the vignetting issue. Annoying, hence the 4 stars.

Works well and great price.

The combo with the accessories kit makes this an amazing deal. Using disposable batteries with powerful flashes gets expensive and I hate proprietary battery packs.

At first glance, it appears to be of decent quality. To be absolutely honest it was only used once for testing, when I went to use it again for a project the switch went out and would not power on. The batteries were replaced thinking that was the problem and still nothing. The warranty period had recently passed a few months ago so looks like money wasn't very well spent. Not very reliable and would not recommend for purchase.

Full-featured flash, great value for money

The TT685 is a full-sized flash with all the features you'd expect of a premium camera-brand speed-light, including full TTL and manual modes, high-speed sync, tilting/rotating head, slide-out catchlight and diffuser... and a whole lot more. It can communicate remotely via 2.4 GHz radio for when I decide to get the X1T device. It looks and feels solid and comes in a neat pouch with a small stand for attaching to light stands. The size and weight balance are good on my Olympus EM1ii - I was concerned it would be too big and heavy. It's quite a handful on my EM5 and if that's your main body, you might also consider the TT350 if you don't need as much power. This model runs on 4xAA batteries and it's a good idea to get rechargeables rather than use alkalines but I like the idea of being able to use alkalines as backup. I got rechargeables separately with a recharger that plugs into power outlets in my country, but B&H sell good-value packages if you're in North America. Speaking of power, the alternative to consider is the Godox V860ii, virtually same size and spec as the TT685 but with a lithium ion battery, is slightly heavier, and about 50% more expensive, and I'm sure it's really great as well. For my money, the TT685 at US$119 is perfect for my occasional flash use and is fantastic value for money. Olympus EM1ii users (and possibly some other Oly models) might wonder why your white balance doesn't change, with this flash, irrespective of what you set it to in the camera. Go to Menu F, last setting is Flash+WB, and if it's set to WB(flash symbol), set it to OFF, and you'll have control again.

Terrible instructions and horrible user interface

I have spent an hour and I still can't get this to fire with the matching Godox trigger. Of the four different flash systems I have used over the years this is by far the worst!!

Love this set up

question

Does this flash accept Canon compatible external battery packs such as the Bolt CBP-C1?
Asked by: Keith
Yes. The Godox TT685F Thinklite TTL Flash for Fujifilm Cameras has a Canon-style socket for their high-voltage external battery port on the front of the flash. The Bolt CBP-C1 Compact Battery Pack would be compatible for use with the Godox TT685F Thinklite TTL Flash for Fujifilm Cameras.

No, the Fujifilm EF-W1 is only compatible with flashes in the Nissin Air System. The TT685F can be triggered by the Godox XProF TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Fujifilm Cameras, BH # GOXPROF. https://bhpho.to/3dDWJq4
