Rollei RPX 25 Reviews

Sheet width narrow - low qual.

Roughly half the sheets of film in the box i received were so narrow across that they wouldn't slide under both side tabs in the holders. This would cause them to fall out, making it hard or even impossible to put the dark slide in without damaging the film. Have never run into this issue with other films.

Fantastic slow film for 4x5

This is one of the best possible films for landscape photography in 4x5. There is no other film quite as good as this if you want a slow speed, fine grain, traditional grain film for working in 4x5. I tend to overexpose by one stop and use very dilute rodinal to increase the tonal range. N 1 in rodinal 1:100 is about 15 minutes at 68c. Troop and Anchell, the noted authority on such matters, recommend this combination for APX, which was the direct predecessor of this film (it's almost exactly the same). Take my advice - Try it. You'll be glad you did.
