I know that the maximum throw is about 44 ft. But, what is the minimum distance? In other words, how close can I sit before integration is compromised? Is 10-12 ft too close?

For all of the C211, The Horn is aimed down 10° and the system sums at about 3’ feet between the Woofer and Horn. The C221, C222, C222HP use a dual dissimilar technology that beams the HF downwards as required for commercial cinemas with stadium seating. I would not recommended these for home installs(with Limited Height) if the seats are not within the -20° angle of the horn.

The JBL Two-Way ScreenArray Cinema Loudspeaker BH #JBC211 may be bi-amped: For Single-wire passive operation, leave the jumpers in place (jumpers link the LF+ and HF+ terminals together and the LF- and HF- terminals together). For Bi-wire passive operation, remove the jumpers and wire the LF± and HF± terminals to the respective amplifiers Designed for small cinemas and VIP rooms for a maximum throw of 52'
