Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just Ok. Old one was better. I ordered this to compliment the one that came with the Slik tripod that I got a few years ago. The design as well as the metal has changed. The original had a rubber plate where the cork is now. The original could screw in by turning the entire unit, which was fast and easy, and now you have to reach under the plate and turn the screw head like on an Arca unit. The only real issue was the fit, which was too tight making it a bit cumbersome to remove. The metal was also courser than the original creating unneeded friction. Bottom line, it will do the job but to me at least, this item has taken a step backwards. Made in Thailand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slik Quick Release 1/4-20 After losing my original Quick Release for the 700DX tripod by Slik, I ordered a new one. Make sure you measure the size of the mounting opening on the underside of your camera--I didn't and had ordered the wrong size. After receiving my order, I realized I'd ordered a Quick Release that was too large and reordered the correct 1/4-20 size. The return process was quick and efficient, and I can finally use my tripod again (I'd been searching for my lost Quick Release for a month). The replacement fits perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wears out over time I have a 3 of these one for each camera and I shoot mostly outdoors sometimes in adverse conditions. I have one QR that is worn out and when placed in the head will not hold position with the locks engaged. I just take it the puck is worn out but it being only 2 years old I wouldn't expect this to fail so soon. Kinda disappointed that it already needs replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed for my second hand find I am going to be come a regular customer thanks to the staff at B&H, they were fabulous answering my newbie questions and making sure I had the right piece for the second hand tripod I purchased at our local Animal shelter shop. The acutal item is the missing piece, I got to use it on Tuesday, and this tripod was great for what I need with this new head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick Release 1/4-20 for Pro Ball 800 b Purchase two more quick disconnect fitting in order to have one for each lens/camera used on my Slik 700DX Pro tripod. The round shape for this fitting makes it very easy to mount lenses/cameras on the tripod since position is not a critical as with other shapes of fittings. ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent part for terrific tripod This is the greatest invention since sliced bread. I purchased extra quick-release plates for my Slik 700DX tripod to attach to spotting scopes and cameras. The shape of the plate allows me to swivel the scope or camera without changing the position of the tripod head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Verify 1/4 or 3/8 I use it for home photos and video. Make sure you have the correct bolt size, 1/4 or 3/8. Some people, not saying any names, can get confused, think it refers to the puck thickness, and order the a wrong model. Then you just feel silly. Fine product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for my use. It's quick and I use one for my long lens and one for the other lens. It's even quicker when you have two on them.
