The white turntable employs a unique Halo Edge Light System that uses LEDs built into its base that are designed to eliminate the line or horizon created when using a backdrop. An automatic shooting system uses Bluetooth and IR sensors to connect directly to your smartphone or camera. Clicking a button on the turntable's Foldio360 app starts a process that takes photos from all sides of your subject and combines them into one 360-degree image for web sharing or ecommerce.

If your camera does not support IR mode, can this turntable be set to turn the correct degrees by pressing the turn button on the phone app 48 times for a perfectly spaced 360 degree 48-shot capture on a mirroless cameras like a Fuji X-H1?
According to the manufacturer, cameras that do not have IR remote support can use the Turntable Control Mode in the Foldio360 app on your smart device. You would set up your camera and then set up the angle you need in the app. You may then shoot manually with the camera for all your exposure adjustments.

Does the app HAVE to be used to make this turntable rotate? I don't see any buttons or switches for manual control.
When plugged in and with the black power button on the back of the units depressed the ORANGEMONKIE Foldio360 Smart Turntable for 360 Images will spin at a constant speed. However, any adjustments to the rotation must be done on the app.

Does the turntable top light up? In the product photos it appears to be lit from below.
It has a "Halo Edge Light System" which is an LED light built in to the side of the turntable to light up the background. It does help to soften shadows.

I'd like to use this mostly for video shooting. Is the speed of the rotation adjustable? Can you set rotation points? And how many times will it spin 360 degrees?
The Folio360 app can be used to control the rotation, but the number of frames can only be set if the phone is being used as the primary camera.
