Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible black uniformity and awful quality control HP has some serious problems with quality control for expensive, enterprise products. The first unit I received shipped defective out of the box. Namely, the LCD was not attached properly to the backing in the upper left third of the display, leaving a visible gap between the LCD and backlight large enough to insert an index card. After exchanging the defective unit with B&H, I then received another n270c which developed the EXACT same problem in a week merely sitting on a clean, private desk. After some serious grief with HP, I was able to send in the monitor and then received a brand new display panel without the defect. However, the display suffered from the same problems as the previous two units in terms of picture quality. In short, the n270c panel has absolutely garbage black uniformity, especially apparent in dark movies or using dark themed applications. The colors look washed out in comparison to much cheaper offerings from HP like the 24ea or similar flat panel HP IPS displays. Backlight bleed is nothing short of unacceptable. It's almost as if HP failed to design an LCD display that could properly handle the 1800R curve. With the exact same panel and housing as the HP 27b, the n270c sorely disappoints. I purchased the Samsung CF591 27 inch curved display, and the difference is like night and day. Colors are vibrant and black uniformity is near OLED flawless on the Samsung VA display. HP's VA displays simply have horribly inconsistent black uniformity and color quality. Garbage quality control and poor picture quality make this a $~250 waste of money. Absolutely not worth the money or the trouble.
