This XProtect Express+ Base License from Milestone allows you to install the XProtect Express+ software onto one server or computer per software device license. XProtect Express+ provides users with alarm management, including the ability to assign alarms to different users and add comments to system alarms. With multi-layer maps, you get an overview of the entire installation. The software can manage up to 48 cameras and supports an unrestricted number of simultaneous users. It is compatible with H.265 compression technology, as well as 4K and UHD cameras.

None of the Base licenses include camera licenses. You would need to purchase the camera licenses separately.

Does this license work for both the current and any to-be-released-in-the-future versions of the product?
This license can only be purchased for a new system. At least 1 Device license will need to be purchased as well at the time of the order. The license is good for life and there is the option to purchase Milestone Care Plus for each device/camera you have with system in order to get the latest software version.

Per Milestone: "All XProtect versions 2016 revision 2 and newer support the ONVIF Gateway, except XProtect Essential versions." This includes the Milestone XProtect Express+ Base License
