Kirk BL-D7500 Overview

The L-Bracket for Nikon D7500 from Kirk Enterprises is a one-piece design that is custom fit for the camera. With its Arca-type compatible dovetail, it enables the camera to mount in a vertical or horizontal position when shooting together with a tripod and compatible head.

The black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum L-bracket, has a slotted design for side port access. At the same time, the bracket does not block the LCD monitor from tilting, provides access to the battery door, and has a hand strap loop machined on the right-hand side.

The included 5/32" short hex wrench is used to tighten the L-bracket to the body. When it is not in use, it stores inside the bottom of the L-bracket's base. Furthermore, a 1/4"-20 mounting hole is located on the bottom and sensor centering lines are on the back, so the camera can be aligned on a tripod head.

Able to change vertical or horizontal orientation without losing the center of axis
Dovetail design is Arca-type compatible, and scored with sensor centering lines on the back of the bracket
Complete access to the battery door and camera ports with no interference to the tilting of the screen
L-bracket is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, which has been black anodized
Machined strap loop for shoulder or hand strap accessories

question

I've purchased this L-Bracket. Now, I'm looking for the quick-plate? Where can I find this. Please give me a link, so difficult :(
Asked by: Gil L.
A quick release plate is not needed, L brackets have plates built in. You just need an Arca Swiss compatible ball head if you don't already have on. Please click the link below to view your choices; https://bhpho.to/2yINTyY

Will this fit straight onto the Manfrotto MVH500AH fluid head rail without any other adapters?
Asked by: Hamish
Unfortunately, no; Manfrotto is not Arca-Swiss compatible. I recently got that L-bracket and am quite happy with it. These guys make an adapter: https://store.kesslercrane.com/kwik-release-receiver-only-mg1001.html Cheaper than a new head. I would imagine the experts at B&H could assist you with a proper adapter as well.

Can I use this with the Peak Design Capture v3 clip?
Asked by: Henry
Yes, you can attach the V3 clip to the bottom of the L bracket and then use it in your tripod head. You obviously won't have the ability to use the full length of the L bracket in the head but there is always a give and take.

Is this specifically customized for the D7500 or is it for more than one type of body?
Asked by: Greg
It is customized for the D7500 in that it allows access to the ports on the left side of the camera body. I have a "universal -type" l bracket that hinders access.

question

Can I attach this plate directly to a Manfrotto 055XPROB Tripod?
Asked by: JORGE
Yes you can. It's got a standard screw hole in the bottom, but thats not really the point of it. It's made to have it's own quick plate.
