Feiyu A2000 overview

  • 1Description

This B&H Kit features the Feiyu A2000 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal, a 2-Hand Holder with a joystick, and a Carry Case that fits both items. This kit allows you to use the A2000 by itself the standard way or combine the A2000 and the 2-Hand Holder for full control of the gimbal in two-handed operation. In the latter scenario, the gimbal handle must first be removed.

  • A2000 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal for Mirrorless and DSLR Cameras

The Feiyu A2000 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal offers unlimited 360° rotation along all three axes: pan, tilt, and roll. It supports up to 4.4 lb loads, which includes most mirrorless and DSLR cameras, and features four operational modes and a flat, 4-way control joystick.

The handle can be removed and the gimbal section used separately (e.g. mounted on a tripod or monopod). There are multiple 1/4"-20 mounting holes all around, including on the gimbal section and the bottom of the handle. Included as a free download with the A2000 is the Feiyu ON app for iOS and Android, which allows you to remotely control the gimbal when you have it mounted on a tripod or other support.

The A2000 is designed with multiple intuitive features, including an identification algorithm that detects the weights of different cameras and matches with them without requiring adjustment of the motor strength.

    Key Features
    • 4.4 lb payload
    • Detachable handle allows using the gimbal section separately
    • Multiple 1/4"-20 screws, including on the gimbal section and bottom of the handle

Feiyu A2000 reviews

A2000 3-Axis Gimbal, 2-Hand Holder, and Carry Case Kit is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST Gimbal EVER! Feiyu-Tech a2000 is AMAZING! Got this gimbal mainly to shoot wedding video. Very versatile and does an amazing job! All precision cut metal gimbal, extremely well made and durable. The only plastic is the mini-tripod that came with it for use when using it as a single handed gimbal. The two-handed attachment is awesome. Wireless remote use from your cellular phone seems to work flawlessly. Have noticed no delay or lag. Use it with a Canon T7i with a Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 ART lens (which is a very heavy lens). This gimbal has no problem balancing this rig. Have only had it for three weeks, but so far... very impressed! For the price.. No other gimbal can touch it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from By far one of the best quality/price gimbal I bought If you are looking for one of the best quality/price product as stabilizer this one is your solution. I've tried it so far with a Canon 5D mark iv and the 16-35 mm lens. It's easy to use, takes 2 minutes to pre-balanced and then boom push the button and you just can't believe what's in front of you. Weight is good, solid metal product, two packs of batteries!!! So far, nothing to complain about. I'll be on the field for couple shoots in September. Can't wait to see the final result. By the way, just to let you know, it's another great B&H experience. Thanks guy for making our journey a little be easier even here in Quebec, Canada!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk, don't wast your money. I have balanced my camera several times (Sony a7r iii w/28mm f2) and I still have many problems as follows... 1 - Gimbal seems to have a mind of its own. 2 - When tilting up and down the gimbal will jerk hard to the left every time. 3 - When tilting to left and right the motors tend to vibrate like they are getting stuck. 4 - When panning the gimbal tends to drift off center when trigger is held down and the gimbal is supposed to be locked on subject. Also 5 - All balancing thumb nobs get loose if you don't torque them down with a vise grips. 6 - No start/stop button for Sony.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Gimbal I did a lot of research before choosing the Feiyu A2000. Lots of Youtube videos showing use, opinions, etc. I was surprised to come upon the Feiyu because it was not usually among those reviewed. However, here is my experience: The case: some quibble that the case isn't a hard shell like its competition. However, it has the smallest form factor and is the lightest. I found the case to be perfectly acceptable. I'll be able to take it to Europe in a carryon exactly because of it's small form factor. Construction: well crafted. Assembly: easy. Calibrating: from what I've read on line, this unit is no different than any others when it comes to calibrating the first time. Be prepared to spend several hours -- minimum -- watching Feiyu videos and practicing with your camera. Once you get the hang of it, we are talking about 5 - 10 minutes max for set up and calibration. Use: I practiced a bit (maybe an hour or so) before my first use. The unit performed flawlessly during a three hour fashion show. By the way, I used a tripod with a quick release plate attached to the Feiyu -- and it was a life saver to rest the camera on it occasionally. With the dual handle rig I was able to attach a small monitor to one handle - and the camera did just fine with the attached micro HDMI cord. I used a Canon 7D Mark ii with 35 - 100 mm lens. Note that you'll save yourself a lot of grief to pick a focus range beforehand (changing the zoom will change the balance of the rig). For the fashion show, I used 50mm. Dual Handles: This was a 'must' for me. And I'm glad I got it. It is quite a deal to have the dual handles included in the package. Batteries: Each battery is rated for six hours, and I got that. Warranty/Service: Be advised that service (despite the website implying it is by a dealer in the USA) is only in CHINA currently. However, I contacted Feiyu and they were very responsive. In the event the unit breaks in the first year - you pay for shipping to China, but they repair and ship back no charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gimbal Very easy to balance. Pretty smooth when running. So far best use is filming out the back of a car. Holds unbelievably stable swerving and going over bumps. Controls take a minute to figure out, but make sense once you understand them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great starter gimbal I give it 4 out of 5 because I use it with a panasonic GH4 and there is no button to start stop recording. I have to use my phone. The supplied cable only focuses the camera.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from beware of the specs Just be aware that the weight rating for the payload is not really accurate - yes, if you never move it out of the vertical, it can hold a 4 lb payload, but the motors fair if you tilt it more than a bit. It cannot carry the fs5, which should be well within the payload limit, especially stripped.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well After Firmware Upgrade I enjoy this gimbal and it was a great choice for the money. Works very smooth with my Canon 5D Mark IV and 24-70mm 2.8L; even when fully extended. Takes about 4 minutes to put together and balance. Very quick and easy. Great movements, very quiet and has a nice handle for control. I'm giving 4 stars (instead of 5) because it took a while to get the gimbal out of Pairing mode (was stuck blinking and would not access the other modes). The gimbal has 4 functions, all controlled by hitting the "Mode" button on the gimbal handle. Fixing this issue was done by upgrading the firmware on both the single handle and dual handle. All-in-all a great purchase and would recommend! Have used both this and Zhyiun Crane V2, and this one out performed (in a close comparison). Zhyiun handles heavier weights and longer lenses a bit better while walking, otherwise the Feiyutech outperformed everywhere else.
