I want to use this to connect a A7iii multi-terminal usb port to a LANC zoom control. However I would need a female 2.5mm LANC since the zoom controller has a male 2.5mm. Am I missing something? Will this work?

Hello, will this cable work with PXW-X70 camcorder? I have my old LANC Sony controller, and I would like to use it with X70.
The PXW-X70 has a Multi-Terminal connection. (It looks like a USB) You can use your LANC controller with this camcorder. It requires the odd combination of two adapter cables. It does however, work. Here are the two cables: Manfrotto AV-R to LANC Cable (7.8") B&H # MA522AV and Sony VMC-AVM1 A/V R Adapter Cable B&H # SOVMCAVM1. Awkward yes. Does the job, also yes.
