It easily screws on top of your existing tripod's center column and offers from 14-27.8" of additional height. These adjustments are made quickly via flip locks which make it easy to adjust the four sections. It also has a mini ball head on top with a 1/4"-20 screw that has a load capacity of 2.2 lb. Additionally, it has a wrist strap for added comfort and security when it is being used independently of a tripod.
