Ruggard EDC Overview

Protect cameras, lenses, photographic and optical equipment, mobile electronics, and other valuable accessories from excessive moisture, dirt, and dust with the Ruggard EDC-600L Electronic Dry Cabinet. The cabinet's fast-acting TE Cooling Wafer regulates the interior's relative humidity from 60 to 35% to help prevent fungus and corrosion that can damage your gear. Humidity adjustments take place over a 1- to 3-hour period.

A large, dimmable LCD displays ambient temperature (in Fahrenheit or Celsius), relative humidity, and other settings, and the glass doors are gasket sealed. Interior LED Lights make viewing and finding gear easier, and both the base and the four adjustable steel shelves are padded to help guard against scratches.

The Electronic Dry Cabinet is powered by an included multi-voltage power supply. In addition to being nearly silent, without a fan or compressor to make noise, the unit is also dripless, eliminating the need for a water tray. To prevent unwanted movement, the bottom of the cabinet has four feet, two of which are leveling feet for installing on uneven surfaces.

Asked by: luis
The blinking blue water droplet means that the unit is attempting reach the target humidity. For example if you set it at 40 rH then the LCD will have the flashing droplet until it reached the set humidity, and will turn off once it is reached.

What is new with the 230L over the 235L?
Asked by: Nicholas
I contacted Ruggard concerning your inquiry. They state that the main differences would be the new EDC-230L Dry Cabinet has moveable shelves while the shelves inside the EDC-235L are non-moveable. Other than the above, there are slight differences in the overall dimensions of the unit. The interior dimensions of the older EDC-235L was 31.8 x 13.4 x 31.1" the exterior dimensions were 31.8 x 14.6 x 34", and the unit weighed 76 lbs. Meanwhile, the interior dimensions of the new EDC-230L are 31.1 x 23.62 x 18.9", the exterior dimensions are 33.78 x 23.62 x 18.9", and the unit is lighter as it now weighs 60.6 lbs.
