Peak Design CF-AS-3 overview

  • 1Description

The ash-colored Cuff from Peak Design is a strap that allows you to secure a camera or binocular to your wrist as you keep it in hand. An aluminum-alloy sliding buckle allows its nylon and leather webbing to be adjusted for a comfortable, snug fit while the camera or binocular is connected to the strap by using one of two, included Anchor Links. Each Anchor Link creates a durable, snap-in or snap-out connection point to a strap eyelet on a wide variety of camera or binoculars.

For convenient storage or transport, the Cuff wrist strap can be detached from an Anchor Link and worn as a bracelet or placed within an included microfiber pouch. When worn as a bracelet, the length of the strap can be wrapped around the wrist and magnetically secured along its own surface.

    Peak Design CF-AS-3 reviews

Cuff Camera Wrist Strap (Ash) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from it is a convenient system but... It is stylish and convenient, but the metal part may scratch the camera if you do not remove the strap from the camera. The screen of my camera has been scratched a few times in a camera bag already. Please take out the strap if you want to keep your camera from scratch-free.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great strap, needs more accessories I have been researching and buying stuff to travel light with my Sony A6500 and 3-4 lenses; everything is for DSLR (this is why I changed), bulky and heavy. I use the strap to carry the camera in my hand and the rest goes in the Peak Design sling bag with 2-3 lenses,2-3 batteries, a small tripod and my iPhone. I do street and landscape photography and walk an average of 8-10 miles per day; this is the best way to go. This is not a 5 star, I recommend a system to avoid the strap from sliding and pressure your wrist; I put a little tape to have is secured.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Can't lock strap into position This is not the fault of the strap, I should have just paid a little more attention to how it was designed. The clasp slides with no way to lock it into position. That's fine if you don't mind it being cinched tight to your wrist at all times, but I like to have a fixed width that's not entirely cinched up on my wrist. It's an easy fix - all you have to do is sew a stop into the nylon, so just one extra "mod" to make it work the way I wanted it to.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Annoying and getting in the way The hard plastic rubs against your camera body, the cuff tightens way too easily around your wrist. It basically gets in the way of shooting. Not what I wanted from a strap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it - Strap only when you need it I have had all sorts of straps, original and aftermarket, to the point I just had too many straps in my bag attached to cameras and sometimes even a big prime lens. I just replaced all with the Peak Anchor links, and have one neck strap and one wrist strap in my bag, and snap on the strap I need for the purpose I need, when I need it. I had envisioned a solution like this... someone had the same idea and made it a reality ! Just awesome !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Security: Who wants to drop a $10,000 camera? this is very useful when I want to use my Leica M or Leica Q in my right hand. I am terrified of dropping my camera, so I usually use a neck strap. There is nothing wrong with that but sometimes I would like to be able to put it up to my face without being concerned with the strap. Then I worry about dropping it. This solves the problem by giving me security, along with the handgrip that you can buy both for the Leica M and Q.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality wrist strap Works great, easy on and easy off. Cinches down nicely and securely. Heavier than expected (due to Anchor Link System) and the strap is wide (1/2 inch), compared to the usual thin cord types. The weak link is probably the thin cords on the V4 Anchors that attach to the camera but they are suppose to hold 200 lbs. Definitely worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value For my entire camera life, I have been wrapping my camera strap around my hand to secure my camera. I finally sprung for the Peak Design Wrist strap and am very happy with the purchase. Good quality. Good value. Reliable brand.
